Walnut and Sparkling immediately flew to the party hall to find people to interrogate. Walnut's first attempt fell on Herb, who was chatting with other friends such as Cherry Blossom, Peach and Carrot. She asked them if they have seen a suspicious cookie roaming by.

"Hm... no, not that I remember. I'm sorry, Walnut."

"It's okay, thanks anyway !"

She greeted them off before her next series of questions fell on Spinach.

"Hey," she called her out, "have you seen a cookie with long blond hair and a costume full of navy blue passing by ?"

"Nnnope ! Never seen one before."

"Alright, thanks," she then went off to her third attempt.

"A blond cookie ?" Alchemist wondered. "Well, I do remember Angel was here, as well as Moonlight, Adventurer..."

"Not the ones I'm looking for. Thanks anyway !"

For what seemed to be endless hours, the little detective kept searching and asking the others for any type of clue. Needless to say that the researches were long, and fruitless. Walnut gave up quite easily, now regaining the entrance of her office. This is where Sparkling came to her.

"Well, got any luck on your side ?" sh asked him.

"Well, nah. Not really. I think the only pertinent witness I remember seeing saw Moonlight near the entrance of the Jewel room, and that's it."

"We're really out of luck."

"You don't say."

Walnut was about to turn around as she took a few notes in her notebook... she checked on the list of witnesses she asked again. She then noted Sparkling's.

"There has to be some link," she muttered to herself. "We will just have to find out which... I know Roguefort is somewhere, he has to, after all...!"

And both cookies went back inside the jewel room.

Bleu was now sitting on the rooftop. He watched the starry sky, now holding a diamond in hands. The blue that sorted out of it felt like all the oceans in the world combined together to form only one single prism. Whenever Bleu would stretch the crystal by the night sky, it would shine ever so brightly. That... bemused him, in some way.

"I mean... sure, I love jewelry and luxury," he sighed, "but really... I feel like this is not enough. Something tells me... this is not what I truly want. I need to search it, in some way... but how ?"

He stood up and walked off. As he was close to climb down the edge, he turned his head around and saw two other cookies chatting outside. He approached on tiptoe to them, bending his head closer to see who clearly. He recognized Jammy's shape, always so bright, even behind a mask. She was presumably checking upon the status of the quest with her teammate, Caramel. He frowned at it. Oh, yes. Hatred burned in his very eyes, that were once so calm and cunning. It almost seemed as if flames grew in these turquoise eyes, breaking a once peaceful mettle.

"... Actually, no. I think I found what I wanted. I am going to keep this jewel for myself, and nothing is going to stop me-"

He was standing up, tugging the gem back in his pocket, but soon tripped over his cloak, and felt himself falling off the rooftop. At this point forward, he screamed for dear life.

"I heard someone calling for help !" the cookie exclaimed. "I'm going to see who this is !"

She then ran to the scream's direction and stopped dead on her track. By pure instinct, she reached her arms to the falling figure, it landing smoothly in her arms. She looked at who she caught. She blushed behind her mask to realize that was soon going to fall to his fate no others than...
