There was nothing Hinata hated more than tests. Especially big exams. He was never great at studying, however Yachi did teach him a few tips and tricks which he was very grateful for. But this time...
"Whaaaaa??" Hinata stood there, dumbfounded.
"Yeah...I'm, um, going to be busy the next few days so I can't help you with your exams...I-I'm very very sorry, Hinata!" she bowed deeply with her cheeks red with embarrassment.
Hinata shook his head and waved his arms frantically. "No no!! Don't apologize! You've taught me a lot of stuff! I'm sure I can handle it on my own!" the short orange-haired boy declared with determination and a wide smile.
Yachi looked at him and smiled back, relieved. "Okay, good!"
He said that, but...
He really didn't have anything under control!
I was only saying that to be nice and now I don't even know what these words mean! Flabbergasted? What the hell is that?? Does that mean your gassy?
He sat there staring at the paper for several hours, as if half expecting the answer to come flying and hit him in the face like a volleyball. But nope, that didn't happen.
He groaned and put his face in his notebook. Now what?
All he knew was that if he didn't manage to pass this exam, he wouldn't be able to play volleyball...and that was the scariest thing of all. He knew Tsukishima definitely wouldn't help him, especially not after what happened last time. Maybe Suga? No...
His phone buzzed, dancing across the table as the screen lit up. Hinata glanced over to see that it was Kageyama. He furrowed his brows. What did he want? Kageyama hardly ever texted him unless it was something really important.
He took his phone and looked at the message: "Hey, Hinata, are you free?"

Hinata blinked in surprise. Kageyama? Asking him to come over? To study?? Some strange yet strong feeling within began to take over him. Was this...excitement? Hinata didn't quite know, but he was grinning ear to ear with his eyes sparkling.
He quickly texted back, probably seeming a bit too enthusiastic.
