Black, everything she could see was black, as she ran and ran down paths in the forest. She didn't care wherever she stumbled into, just to get away from her past.
She kept running until she stumbled upon a long lump on the ground. She groaned, then she got up and looked down at the figure, and she found a bleeding, silver-haired man. She looked around, forgetting why she was running in the first place.
The girl was called Hikari no Iyashi. She was at least ten years old, but her past had made her quite strong. Hika bent down and rolled the man over. He had a red spot on his right abdomen, so Hikari lifted his shirt and put her hands on the wound. Remembering what she learned, she began healing him, and her hands glew white.
Soon, the man began healing, and Hikari took his arm and put it around her neck. Then she carried him like a sack on her back, despite her small figure, but she could easily carry him into a cave. Hika put him down, then cleaned the rest of his wound, then searched his pouches.
A kunai was held against her neck before she could blink. "What are you doing?" a low voice asked.
Hika paused for a bit before shrugging. "Looking through your stuff to see if you brought a first-aid kit so I can treat you properly," Hika said.
"How do I know you're telling the truth?" the man asked.
"You don't," Hika said as she continued searching his stuff. "All you know is that I didn't leave you out there to die of blood loss and that I'm stuck with you whether I'm lying or not, so I don't really have a chance of going against you if I even wanted. Especially since I'm only ten." The man kept his kunai on her neck, and she realized this. She looked up and tilted her head. "You want to draw blood?"
The man looked confused at her actions. "What are you talking about?" he asked.
"If you want to draw blood, don't use my neck," she said and took his hand. She re-aimed it at her chest and stabbed herself halfway. The man sputtered. "There, satisfied?"
"O-oi!" the man said as Hika finally found a roll of bandages. She began wrapping his body and covered his wound as the man took away his kunai. "Oi! Treat yours, too!" Hika continued tying the bandages.
"Don't move too much," Hika said. "You haven't fully healed yet." She didn't care whether she was bleeding or not.
"Hey! Heal yourself, too!" the man said. He bent forward carefully and took the roll of bandages from her arms and pulled her closer. Hika's hand stopped the man's when he reached for her shirt.
"I can do it," she said and put a hand on her forehead. A white crescent moon merged with a yellow sun on her forehead glew through her blue-black hair. Her finger that she tapped on her forehead glew yellow, and she tapped it on her chest. The visible wound's edges glew and the wound closed on its own.
The silver-haired man had a mask, and his forehead protector hid his left eye, so the only way to tell that he was surprised was his only visible, widened eye. Hika barely made out the symbol on his forehead. "You're a shinobi?" she asked, eyes still widened.
"Hai, how about you?" the man asked.
"Ie, half my clan despises shinobi," Hika replied, shrugging.
The man was silent before speaking. "Do you?" he asked. Hika shook her head.
"I don't have anything against them," she said. "In fact, I despised my own clan that took me from my family."
The man held out a hand. "I'm Kakashi Hatake," he said. Hikari took it and shook their hands.
"I'm Hikari," she said. "Hikari no Iyashi."
"Nice name, Iyashi-san," Kakashi said.
"I like yours, too, Hatake-san," Hika said. She got up and easily heaved him over her. She began packing Kakashi's things before giving it to him and leaving. "Ne~, where did you come from?"
"Huh?" Kakashi asked.
"I'm taking you to your home," Hika replied.
"Oh, then it's Konoha," Kakashi replied. Hika smiled a warm smile, but it was less than 0.0000000001 percent. She began running the direction Kakashi pointed at, and she sped up to find a village coming to their sights. Hika stopped right at the entrance as the guards noticed her.
"Who are you?!" the entrance guards demanded.
"Oy oy, don't worry, Izumo, Kotetsu," Kakashi ordered. "She means no harm. She saved me from my own death." Izumo and Kotetsu nodded, and Hika looked up at Kakashi.
"Here, ninja-san, I'll leave Kakashi-san to your care, then I'll be going," Hika said, getting ready to hand over Kakashi.
"Oi, kid, where will you go and why were you alone?" Kakashi asked, and Hika paused.
"My clan was massacred by Raito no Yoake, my brother," Hika said, eyes dead and not looking at anyone. "Well, half of it, anyway, as he destroyed the Daku or Yami's side because they tried to kill me."
Kakashi's eyes widened, then he looked at his comrades with a message in his eyes. Izumo nodded. "Hey, why don't you talk with the Hokage?" Izumo asked. "He can solve many people's problems." Hikari looked up, then nodded. "Take Hatake-san with you, he needs to talk to him, too."
Hikari began walking in the shadows as Kakashi told her which routes to go to. Pretty soon, they were inside the Hokage's office. "What's your name, my dear?" the Hokage was old in white robes and a wide, White hat with a red triangle at the front.
"Hikari no Iyashi from the YingYang clan," Hika replied evenly. "From the Kido side."
"I'm Hiruzen Sarutobi, but you can call me grandpa or Jiji," Hiru said.
"Okay, Jiji," Hika said.
"So, tell me why you're all alone?" Hiru asked.
"Raito no Yoake massacred half my clan to save me from its clutches," Hikari said. "And he's my brother."
"Hm,.....why don't you have the same last names?" Hiru asked.
"Because our clan don't believe in family names," Hikari said. "The Kido side, my side, believed that our whole side was a family, itself, so we always had Light in our names. I was-- am 'Light's Healing' while my brother was 'Light's Dawn'."
"Why did Raito massacre your can?" Hiru asked.
"He massacred the Yami clan because they killed the Kido clan to get to me," Hikari said. "They wanted my kekkei genkai and my doujutsu. Tenshi no Nozomi and Tenshi no Ken." Hiru narrowed his eyes.
"Where is your family now?" Hiru asked.
"My mother, Taiyo no Egao, Sunlight's Smile, deceased," Hikari said. "My father, Raito no Kosu, Light's Course, deceased. My aunt, Hiru Hikari, Daylight, deceased. My uncle, Kurai Hikari, Darklight, half Yami half Kido, deceased. My grandma, Sutaraito no Egao, Starlight's smile, perished. My grandpa, Raito no Supido, Light's speed, perished. My brother, Raito no Yoake, Light's Dawn, wandering." Hiru's eyes widened.
"What can this kekkei genkai of yours do?" Hiru asked.
"Nobody knows, and not a soul that found out kept their bodies," Hika said, and the ANBU in hiding twitched.
Kakashi inwardly jaw-dropped. "And what about Kakashi?" Hiru asked. "How did you find him?"
"I found him tonight during my run." Hikari shrugged. "He was wounded, so I hauled him on my back and decided to treat his wounds."
"Hikari-chan, how would you like to stay in this village, Konohagakure?" Hiru asked.
Hikari smiled. "Then call me by my real name, Haru for Haru no Hikari, Jiji." She said.
