An hour later Amelia knocked on the big door outside of the so-called Sway house. A few minutes went by without anyone opening up, so she pulled the handle down and looked inside only to see an empty livingroom. Amelia went to the kitchen to search after her best friend when he suddenly came running down the stairs. "Hey" Bryce said bringing the girl in for a hug which she gladly accepted. "I didn't really think you would come" he laughed as he grabbed a water bottle for the two of them. "Oh shut up" Amelia smiled, walking over to the couch and putting down her bag. "Lets just run around the block and back, I'm kinda tired" she said and walked over to the door. "Oh come on, the park" Bryce offered as he walked outside. "Fine, race you."
As Bryce entered the park just a few seconds after Amelia he walked over to a bench out of breath. "Told you" she said smiling and jokingly pushing his shoulder. "Man I almost had you" her best friend laughed, leaning back in a seated position. "Not a chance" Amelia said as she sat down next to him. After Bryce had caught back his breath he slowly started walking back home, hinting for Amelia to follow. "Hey, did I tell about the new house members?" The brown eyed boy asked with furrowed eyebrows. "No, who are they?" She questioned. "Um, this kid Noah Beck and Blake Gray. I don't know if you've heard of them or not but" Bryce paused and waited for Amelia to speak. "Yeah I've seen Noah around, he's cute" She answered openminded while keeping her eyes attached to the ground. "They're moving in next week or something, you should come over" He said as they walked into the driveway. "I mean, are they hot?" Amelia laughed while Bryce mumbled "I guess". "Sure, I'll come" She smiled as he hugged him goodbye.
