Let's Start Over (Izuku x Fem Bakugo)

*Beep*...*Beep*...*Beep*...*Beep*...is the only thing heard inside the hospital room where Izuku "Deku" Midoriya continues to lay unconscious, a month has past since his battle with Tomura Shigiraki, though he won and brought peace to Japan, it still cost the hero greatly, after the battle was won he was severally injured, from ribs puncturing his lungs, to bones sticking out of his body and even deep cuts that seem to be a waterfall of blood all over his body, it amazed everyone, every hero, every civilian present or watching from home that he was still standing, that's when everything hit him full force, the adrenaline wore off and now he felt everything, he couldn't even yell as he never felt pain like this before, he collapsed in the middle of the broken city.

The medics immediately rushed to his aid and began doing what they can to stabilize him enough to transport him to the nearest hospital.

It was quiet in the room, only the sound of the machines doing what they can to keep the hero in this world, the only other person in the room was his childhood friend/tormentor Katsumi Bakugo.

She was there when the fight broke out, she let her arrogance get the better of her and it nearly cost her her life, if it wasn't for the boy she belittled and tortured throughout their childhood she'd be dead.

She held his hand, even though he was laying there he still felt warm, she felt guilt, he always followed her, he was always by her side, he didn't see her for her quirk, he saw her as a friend, yet she couldn't do the same for him, when she learned he was quirkless she abandoned him, he became her primary outlet for whenever something pissed her off, and yet he still smiled at her, he didn't care that he was being beaten or broken, and this greatly confused her until that fateful day on their last day of middle school.

She heard those words as she left their classroom, those words she'll never forget.

Deku: *Crying* Why..*hic*..why...did...I...have...to...fall....in...love...with... someone..*hic*..like...her... maybe...maybe...I...should..*hic*..take....her...advice.

This still haunted her to this day, she hurt the one person who she could've called a real friend, the people she hung around with were either with her for her quirk or were lusting after her, but he was different, he was her friend and she left him, not just that he loved her and she couldn't see it.

She held his hand letting the tears fall from her face.

Bakugo: *Crying* Why....*hic*....why....you...damn...*hic*...nerd...why?

More memories of their childhood flooded her mind, even though she was crying she couldn't help but smile, she felt joy with each memory they shared, the woods they explored as kids, the times they played heros on the playground, and dreaming of becoming the greatest hero duo in history, everything, she couldn't hold them back, she let the tears fall to the floor.

Bakugo: *Crying* Damnit... Damnit..*hic*...it..should...be..*hic*...me..there..*hic*...not..you..nerd...why...*hic*..why....did..*hic*..you..*hic*..save....me....even....*hic*....after...all...I...did..to....you.

Deku: *Quiet* It's.. because..I.. couldn't..let...you...die...Kacchan.

She looked up and saw him awake and with a smile on his face, she couldn't hold back anymore, she lunges at him enveloping him into a hug.

Bakugo: *Crying* I'm Sorry.... I'm Sorry... I'm Sorry...

Deku: *Hugs her back* It's okay Kacchan, I already forgave you a long time ago.

Bakugo: *Crying* Why..*hic*..damnit.. because..*hic*..of..me...your... life..*hic*..was..shit.

Deku: *Smiling* How can I not forgive the person I love, and if it wasn't for you Kacchan I would be dead.

Bakugo: *Confused* What...what...are..you.. talking..about?

Deku: *Smiling* When the league were trying to sneak up on me when I was distracted with Shigiraki, you came in a blew them away, thank you Kacchan.

She couldn't hold back, she smashed her lips onto his tears streaming down her face, he was confused but soon joined in on the kiss, they stayed like that until someone walked in.

Nurse: *Concerned while looking at her clipboard* Alrighty, let's see..*looks up* HE'S AWAKE!!!!

The nurse immediately rushes out to inform the doctor, leaving the blushing duo.

Bakugo: *Blushing* Hey De.. Izuku, can we start over?

Deku just smiles and pulls her into another kiss.

Deku: *Releasing from the kiss and smiles* I'd like that Kacchan, let's start over.

Bakugo smiled, she enveloped him into another hug and kiss, she couldn't help but feel joy, even though he forgave her the guilt still ate at her and she was determined to make things right.
