I was standing in my bedroom getting ready to go to a House Party.
I know right, I'm not the type of girl to go to house parties at all but I promised Imogen I would show my face.

Gray is gone home to to get changed and grab some of his thing for a couple of more night's stay.
I wasn't alone though.. He only left because my best friend Markus was calling over.

I looked at myself in the mirror.
The soft curls in my hair, the fitted black long-sleeved lace dress I was wearing down to the strappy heels I was standing in.
Twenty minutes getting ready.. I think I did okay.

"I can't believe you're even going to this thing."
Markus shouted, down the hall from his place on the couch.

"I didn't have much of a choice, I find it hard saying no to Imogen."
I walked my hallway to the living room."So what do you think?"

Markus glanced up from his laptop and looked me over.
"Looking good..Wear a jacket though, it's cold out."

"You're always cold..But I'll bring one anyway."
I grabbed two cold beers from the fridge, I had gotten them in for Gray incase he wanted a drink.
I sat down on the couch and handed one to Markus.

Markus raised his eyebrows at the beer bottle."I'm guessing these are his."

"Yes,I bought them. I don't think he likes to drink though.
Maybe not while he's on a job."

"Well he can't protect you if he's drunk, Now can he."
I suppose he is right.. It makes sense.
Markus sat forward placing his laptop on the coffee table.
"So tell me about this Guy?"

"Gray..He's nice.I've known him since childhood.
My brother and Gray were best friends growing up."

Markus sighed,"Let me guess he was the hot Jock type?"
I smirked at him."I thought as much."

"He was the hot Jock but he was a good guy too.
Honestly, I think he took up sports to have an excuse not to be at home."

Markus looked at me Confused.
"What do you mean excuse not to be at home..What was going on with him?

Just as I was about to answer, the front door opened saving me from saying something I shouldn't.
I sat toward on the couch as Gray closed the door behind him.

"I hope I didn't keep you waiting."

I looked up at him dressed in his fitted white shirt and black Jeans.
Gray had a clean shaved face and his hair was styled.
How could I mind the wait when he shows up looking this good.

"No that's okay."Gray looked over at Markus settled on my couch.
He's probably waiting for me to introduce them, so I should.
"Gray, This is my best friend Markus."

Markus stood up from the sofa and walked towards him shaking Gray's hand.
"Nice to meet you, Gray."

Gray smiled at him, being polite as he usually is.
"It's nice to meet you, Layne has told me quite a bit about you."

"Well I hope it's all good."Markus looked at me.
As if I'd ever say anything bad about him.. He's like the nicest guy i know.

I smiled"All good..I promise."

"So how did you two meet."Grey asked.
That's the one thing I forgot to tell him.

"At a Chinese restaurant. Layne here tried to steal my take out order."
Markus chuckled, knowing that he was completely wrong.

"That's a lie.. It was a simple mix up."
I smiled at him and Gray cleared his throat most likely feeling a little awkward.
I looked over at Gray."Anyway, we ended up sharing our meal and the rest is history."
