Derek and I were just walking around, when I saw a pet shop. My eyes immediately lit up, as I ran to the window. I was looking at the puppies, in 'awe'. "Baby let's go" Derek wrapped his arm around my waist, slightly pulling me. "I wanna get a puppy" I blurted out still looking inside. "What? Babe we can't. Just because we live together doesn't mean we can get a dog" "I will cry" I pouted and crossed my arms. Derek just sighed and grabbed my hand. "Look, how about we go inside, but only for a little" I smiled and dragged him into the store.

There's this one puppy, that kept licking me and jumping on me. I was on the ground, as a bunch of puppies were running around in a cage. But, I decided to ask the owner about this puppy (it's a corgi btw) "Hey uh, does this puppy have any history behind him?" I asked looking up at the owner, as the corgi kept licking my fingers (we finna call him,Jerry) "Well you see, this family came in one day, with a bunch of puppies. More specifically corgis, but they said that they were friends with the actual 'owners' of the dogs. They said, they abused the dogs. Like example, every time the dogs just came into the wrong room they would hit them" the owner kept rambling, but I wasn't really listening. I furrowed my eyebrows at little Jerry, as he rolled onto his back, I saw A LOT of scratches, and bruises. My eyes started getting teary, as I grabbed him and hugged him tight. "Hey buddy, it's ok. I won't let that happen to you ever again" I whispered to him, I could just sense he was also crying. I looked up at Derek, as he saw my tear stains. His face softened, and he looked at me in 'awe'. I looked back down at Jerry, and started playing with him again. He kept barking but, his barks didn't really come out correctly, ifywim?

"Bebe, come on, we're leaving" Derek placed his hand on my shoulder. "What?! No! I'm not leaving him" I grabbed Jerry tighter in my arms. A smile crept onto his face, as I kinda realized what was happening. "You're not leaving him" my eyes lit up, as I jumped up with Jerry in my arms. I looked down at him, but he kinda looked confused. "You're coming home with us buddy" I said proudly, as Jerry started barking and licking my face. I couldn't help but laugh, as I looked at Derek, he was just smiling widely.
