2020, the year of the virus.
When the whole world is under house arrest.
I was obviously at home, doing the dishes .
The penny dropped and I remembered that my child did not have his lunch even though it was 3 in the afternoon.
I called out his name loud "Ruben !!..... where are you love ?"
I didn't get a response
"Ruben !.......Ru....."
I see him sitting next to the window sill, staring at the vibrant blue sky. I ask him " why are you looking at the sky love ?" I do not see a rainbow or anything?"
He replies keeping his eyes fixed to the sky " I am looking at the heaven Mommy .....God is smiling at me"
And I smile say " Is he telling something to you ?"
He keeps his eyes fixed to the direction of the sky and he says " God invited me to heaven"
I ask " why?"
He kisses my cheek with his soft lips and tells me " Because it's the only place where no viruses are found"
And I went speechless.
