As it turns out, it's a lot easier to be okay with touching the guy you're in love with when you're trying not to get pinned to the ground. At the end of it all, Marinette wins in a staggering 3 point lead, having almost knocked Adrien out on their last round.

He lays on the ground, finally accepting defeat, "I have to go in a second," He sighs, "But I'm coming back next week, and I'm not gonna let you win again."

Marinette's heart flutters at him already confirming their next meetup, "Oh please," She sits down next to him, "As if you let me win."

Adrien is breathing heavy, but still gives her a smile full of energy, "I guess we'll find out."

She winks at him in reply, and for a moment Adrien feels his heart skip a beat at the look she directs towards him.

"Anyways," Marinette says, trying to ignore her excitement, "Your piano practicing awaits." She makes a grand gesture to her trap door.

Adrien groans as he sits back up, "Yeah, I guess you're right," He looks back over at her intently, "I had a lot of fun today. Thanks, Marinette."

They stand up together and as Adrien gathers his things, Marinette holds her hand out to shake, "Winning to a worthy opponent is always a pleasure."

To her surprise, instead of shaking it, Adrien slings his bag over his shoulder and holds her fingertips to his lips in a low bow, glancing up at her as he kisses her hand, "The pleasure is all mine."

If she hadn't been intent on keeping her cool, she would've fainted right then and there. As quickly as the tingling sensation meets her fingers, it leaves when he releases her hand and he shows himself out of her room, "I'll see you at school tomorrow!"

"Right, t-tomorrow," And here she thought she'd gotten rid of her nervous stuttering, "Bye!"

Once she hears the front door close, she allows herself to let out a little squeal of delight and promptly falls onto her settee with a sigh.

"Good day?" Tikki asks, flying to where the girl is lying in a jittery heap.

"The best, Tikki," She puts her hands to her warm cheeks, "Did you see how he kissed my hand? What a man."

The kwami can't help herself from pointing out the irony, "I never see you like this when Chat Noir does the same."

Marinette gives her a disapproving glance, "Chat is completely different. When Adrien does it, it's just..." She lets out another dreamy sigh.

Tikki raises her eyebrow, wanting to poke at her more, but decides to let Marinette continue ranting about the 'sweat glistening off of Adrien's perfect forehead' instead.

Some things never change.
