The Whole Talk

I did finish my book withen the hour. Turns out the dog dies like every other book I read. Seriously, what do people have against cute dogs? Anyways I had an extra hour before I had to talk with my aunt so I decided to grab a snack and pick up another book. If I start a new book maybe I could get to a good part and delay the meeting furthur. No, I had to be responsible and talk about whatever was on my aunt's mind.

It was about nine at night so I had to try to be quiet since everyone goes to bed early except me. Again I was considered odd staying up late like this. So I walked down the hall looking at all the paintings of past Prodigys. I thinking about what my aunt wanted to talk about. Requierments, wizardry,  girl talk? I didn't want to think about that last thing, our ages greatly show a difference. I just kept walking down the hall when one of the severents, I believe her name was Mariam, said "Congratulations Miss Daae on the" and she was cut off when my uncle called her to clean something.

I brushed off the experience thinking I was my aunt. We too were identical but she had a few more wrinkles. Finally making it to the kitchen I saw a note on the main table:

To whoever runs the house,

A new person will soon join this household so I need this house spotless and the greatest meal possible served on December 31 when he comes. If I am not impressed the whole staff will suffer unimaginally.

Christine Daae the Third

Prodigy

Weird. I wonder who was getting married or having a baby. I haven't heard anything. Then a lightbulb turned on, that must be what my aunt wanted to talk about. Either she was getting married or she adopted another child and she wanted my approval. Sadly these children she adopts will never see her or get any powers. My aunt just adopts them for the fame and drops them at doorsteps which leads them back to the orphange.

"Hey! What are you doing in here?", I turned to see the head chef Pierre, "Oh sorry madmoseille Belle!"

"It is alright I just came to get my usual snack, grapes and fruitsnacks." Pierre sped around the kitchen so fast all I saw was a blur and before I knew it I was back in the library reading Distant Waves. Nice book. Then the clock hit ten o' clock and I heard a sharp knock at the door. I yelled for her to come in.

"How was the book?" Before I could start she blurted out, "Thats nice, now about what I wanted to talk about before." I was trapped in the conversation with no way out. "With you being the likely choice of being Prodigy you need to know there is a requierment for each one no matter how old you are."

All I was thinking was I was right about the requierment! I was right about the requierment. Great! What's the requierment? I sadly learned.

"Your cousin was supposed to be the Prodigy but now you will so you, I uh, uh, I really dont know how to put it."

"It's alright Aunt Christine. I can take it. Come on! Tell me!"

"You have to wed!" she blurted.
