Amber was happy for the first time since she ended up in the hospital.  Her friends were here helping her get ready for the party.  The doctors had just removed the last of her bandages. They said she was lucky the scars were not visible.

Jenny told her that her eyes were now pure white (even the pupils) from when they use to be emerald green. She had lost all the color in her hair it had been raven black, now it was the same color as her eyes. The doctors said that the color change was due to the trauma, she went through. Her hair use to be down to her waist, but now it was a few inches long. She would just have to regrow her hair out.

'Sigh'

"What, do you guys think I should wear?" She asked.

"Why not something simple. Like that teal dress you wore the first day of school." Amy asked.

"What about that lavender dress? I don't think I have ever seen you wear it." Asta asked.

"Lavender dress? Is it sleeveless?" She asked.

"Yeah" Danna answered.

"I will wear that one. And no I have never worn that one. I made it." She replied.

"Cool" they all said.

"Alright, let’s get ready. I would like you guys to help me get around the room, before the party starts. So I know where everything is." She said.

"No problem Amber. We would be glad to help." Jenny said.

"Yeah. I am so happy for you. Not many people can say that they graduated, half way through their junior year. Oh what are you going to do for your seventeen birthday?" Danna asked.

"I don't know. I will have to take a rain check on that one Danna. I will let you all know when I have made a decision." She answered.

"Sure. If you need any help just let us know k." Danna said.

"Cool, will do." She replied.

It did not take long to get ready. So when they were done they went to the party area. Once they were sure that she could get around the room easily and know what was were, they went back to her room. Her friends stayed with her the rest of the day.

                                   @$@

The party was going well. She had a lot of her teachers give there congratulations. She was having a hard time with all the sounds, but she was hearing. She did not want to bring her over sensitive hearing problem to the doctors. And end up staying even longer in the hospital. She has been here long enough. Was it so bad that she wanted her freedom...

Talking to Mr. Tanner was the highlight of the party. After she signed the contract, she had Asta go get the other designs she has done. He was very pleased with them. He even commented that she was wearing one of them. She just laughed, and told him it was the only one she has done though it was not even done. She just chose to wear it tonight.

Her family was all there too. She talked to all of the ones that spoke to her. Even her grandparents! That was a shock. She was not sore what happened to causes that, though it was nice. It was weird when she heard her grandparents talking about, how different she was. And that they were upset at how foolish they had been. She knew it would take time to heal her wounded heart. But she would give them a chance, to be a part of her life. They would just have to work for it.

She did not like what she could hear the twins were saying. She would have to talk to her mother about why; they were in so much trouble with the family. It was something new to her. She did not understand what could have happened. At most the twins would have been told they could do better. Nothing like this has ever happened.
