"Mum! Why should we be in Nigeria?", A pre-teen boy whines flailing his arms around.
The mother rolls her eyes, "How many times should I tell you that I am transferred here.""But I could have been sent to a boarding school." The boy scratches his head messing up his blond hair.
"No, you are still a kid. I am not letting you live alone.", She says as she finishes putting down the last box from the trunk shutting it.
"Well you could have let me live with grandma. And no, I am not getting out till you take me off from this country." Says the blond-head refusing to come out from the car.
The woman sighs, "Hey now, it's almost 3 PM. Let's not start a drama here. Lucas you know I am still trying to recover from FDIA. I can't overcome this without baby steps."
Lucas gives up, "Alright alright, I understand. But in exchange I am having pizza and ice-cream."
Hearing his answer the brown-head chuckles, "Alrighty."The mother-son pair enters their new home checking it out.
"Are we really supposed to clean and place everything?" Lucas says looking at all the work they need to do.
"Hm hm, it's going to take too long. We are both exhausted from this long journey so let's just make the bed. And for the repairs I will call someone."The blond gaped his mouth, "Wait, is it my bed or yours?"
"We are sleeping together today, my bed is big enough for both of us.", says his mother urging him to come with her."Nope nope! No way! Just buy me a plane ticket and I will get outta here by myself.", he crosses his arms adamant on not moving.
"Hey! We had a deal," says the mother furrowing her brows.Lucas pouts, "Okay... but you should never say this incident to anyone."
The woman just shakes her head murmuring, "Boys."
They start off with preparing space for their bed..

."Oi! Are you guys new here?!", A kid clad in casual clothes waves his hands from the balcony.
Lucas's mother smiling waves her hand and tells her son, "Why don't you go and talk with him? And also make a friend while you are at it hm?" "Okay okay, I am going," he glares and goes to the balcony.
"Hey! Hi, yeah we are new. My name is Lucas," he introduces himself first.
"Just call me Darry. Are you guys foreigners?" Darry says."Uh well, my mum is transferred here due to her job soo you could say we are foreigners." Lucas answers nervously.
"Cool! I have been living here for 4 years." The black-haired kid says.
"How is it here? You know the place, school and whatever?" He asks curious.Darry, "No-no, I don't know much. I go to a boarding school."
"Oh, I was just talking about it minutes ago with my mum. What are you doing here then?", Lucas says.
"I am now here because it's my summer vacation. I will be going back tomorrow morning though." Darry laughs."Oh man, I was told to make friends," Lucas facepalms, "I thought we could hang out."
The black-head winks laughing, "Sorry, bro. Better luck next time. I will be here for winter and Christmas vacation after 7-8 months.""Hah... my bad then." He says turning to go back.
"Hey hey!" Darry yells, "We could sit and talk for some time here. I am bored of being cooped up in my home for weeks."Lucas mouth slacks open ajar, "Bro what the? You haven't gone out?"
"Ah well actually, I am in a boarding school with strict rules," Darry says clearing his throat, "We get two months holiday for our summer and Ramadan vacation."
