Orcs ran through the thick trees as they headed north. No longer having a leader or a cause to fight, they attack who ever and whenever they want. This has been going on since the war finished, two and a half years ago.
The heavy armoured Orc's feet hit the forest floor, giving a loud thuds that sounded through the forest. This was enough for a group of four hunters to track them. Their light steps flew over the forest flooring, almost like they were flying. They were silent and swift they did not disturb anything as they ran. They jumped over fallen trees that lay in their path. It was not long before they caught up to the pack. They strung their bows and fired them off, killing four instantly. They continued to fire until they had caught up to them.
They jumped into the pack of 10 that were left. They drew their swords and sliced through the black armour. The Orcs quickly dropped like flies as they provided no challenge to the four hunters. They all stood side by side as they looked around at the dead Orcs. One of them groaned and moved slightly trying to stand up. A white hair woman walked over to it with a disgusted look.
" Disgusting creatures." She hissed and she drove her elvish sword through its head with a stone cold look in her sliver eyes.
" There is a few less to worry about." A man with ruby red hair spoke, his brown eyes looked to the white haired woman. A man with brown hair and brown eyes laughed softly.
" Kevin!" A blond hair man scolded the man who laughed.
" What?" Kevin cried with a smile. The blond haired man rolled his eyes.
" Come on Dan. Lighten up." Kevin told him. Dan shook his head disapprovingly.
" You pair, why must you always be at each others necks? Pair of two years." The red haired man growled.
" Its not like you are any better Jasper." Kevin cried pointing his sword to Jasper. Jasper's brown eyes looked to Kevin with anger.
" You think you are so tough!" Jasper shouted at him as he clutched his sword with his right hand and his sheath at his hip with his left.
" Stronger than you!" Kevin yelled as he walked over to Jasper quickly with anger in his step. They went to go for each other until something smacked there heads. They looked to their right and saw a very angry looking woman. Her silver eyes carved holes into them.
" The next one of you that starts an argument. I will personally launch you into sea of Nurnen and then leave you." She growled to them and walked away from the small clearing of dead Orcs. Her bow in her right hand and her quiver full off arrows on her back. Her deep forest green hooded cloak blew up in a sudden gust of wind. Her white hair wiped softly as she walked. Her black boots hit the forest floor as she walked away from the men.
" Scary..." Kevin said with a scared look.
" You just will never learn, will you?" Dan said as he followed on behind the woman.
" I understand why people call her Frost now." Kevin said. Jasper instantly sighed and his hand went up to his face. An arrow flew past Kevin's face, missing only by a millimeter.
" Call me that again, the next arrow will not miss." She hissed lowly at him with another strung arrow aimed at his head. Kevin looked at her, he shivered by the look he was getting. Her stone cold, killers gaze made him quack in his boots.
" Yes ma'am." He said with a shaky voice. The woman released the arrow and placed it back into her quiver. She then continued to walk on with the three men behind her.
Legolas lead his small group of twelve elves through the wooded area. There was a sighting of an Orc pack not to far ahead. His father had trusted him with the task of keeping Mirkwood and the surrounding borders free from Orcs. They ran past the trees and over the fallen trees. Legolas stopped his group when they came across the Orc pack. Only thing was, they were already slaughtered. Legolas looked around the dead orcs with a confused look.
" Find out who is responsible." Legolas ordered them all to search the area. The elves looked around trying to find anything that may give a clue to who did this. Legolas looked at the Orcs under his feet, seeing that they were all killed quickly and efficiently. Who ever did this did not waste time.
" My lord Legolas!" An elf called out. Legolas looked to him and quickly walked over. There, in front of them. Was an arrow that was planted directly into the ground. Legolas walked over to it and pulled it out of the ground and studied it. It was a black tinted wood with white feathers its tip was a silver colour.
" There is only one person I know who uses this arrow." Legolas said as he looked around to his men.
" Where are their tracks?" Legolas asked loudly while heading south.
" Over here." An elf said, Legolas walked quickly over to him.
" They are fresh. Made just under an hour ago." The elf said. Legolas looked the way the tracks lead.
" They lead south." An elf told him again.
" They are heading to the Old Forest Road. We must reach them before they make the Great river." Legolas said as he begin to run through Mirkwood forest again.
