Jeon Jungkook's P.O.V

I'm Jeon Jungkook. I'm a straight A student, your fellow classroom President, someone who loves to paint pretty things (I've painted beautiful sceneries, beautiful flowers, and even portraits of the precious humans in this world), also a candidate for 2nd honor in high school.

2nd honor.

The number 2 itself makes my throat go dry, makes me wanna throw up. That definitely isn't the number I was looking forward to get the moment I stepped in high school. As the son of Jeon Jaejoong and Jeon Yeonsoo, it had became a family thing that every Jeon would always be number 1. Whether it would be academics or co-curricular activities. It was all going so well, until it came to me. I'm not saying that I wasn't ranked number 1 in my whole entire life - Throughout all my years in preschool, primary school, and middle school, I was number 1. It was a piece of cake. Since I study in a prestigious school, most of my classmates have way too much time on their hands. Only half of the class were really considered as a competition. 2nd place was always out of my league. That was until high school came in. The 1st title was robbed right in front of my eyes by none other than Kim Taehyung, himself.

Honestly speaking, I actually like Kim Taehyung. He's someone I wanted to befriend ever since I stepped in high school. But that thought immediately crossed out my mind when he snatched what's supposed to be mine. At first, I actually didn't mind. Thought I could catch up and easily snatch it back. But no - he remains number 1 no matter what I do.

We both get perfect scores on written works and have the best performances on co-curricular activities but our personalities are so different. He's a troublemaker. He starts the heated feuds in class. He's noisy. He's late. He drifts off to dreamland during history. His notebooks are completely blank. Nothing is written on it except for his little doodles. Meanwhile I, a punctual, hardworking, and quiet student who diligently takes notes is 2nd? Where's the justice!? I'm pretty sure his conduct grade is lower than mine! So, why was his average a few points ahead of mine!?

It had been like this for 2 consecutive years. I'm on my last year of high school, and I need to get number 1 if I wanna be accepted to a prestigious university and finally show Kim Taehyung what a Jeon is capable of.
