Hospital {Part two}

(Y/n pov)

I awoke to the strong smell of caramel filling the air. I opened my eyes and immediately, a blush invaded my face. I looked up to see a calm, sleeping Bakugou. I was curled against his side, my head resting on his stomach. Although I was comfortable, it felt wrong. I felt as if I was teasing him. I fought on whether to get up or not. He seemed like he was sleeping really well, so I decided against it. I listened to his heartbeat, feeling the rise and fall of his chest. His heartbeat was soothing. It was so calm and slow. The music I had put on was still playing. One made me kinda sad. I hugged into his side, trying to stop the sad thoughts from flooding into my mind. I took a deep breathe. His smell calmed me down a lot. I looked up at his face. This was the calmest I have ever seen him. His features rested in the most peaceful way, making him look like a small puppy. He had his arms resting beside him. If anybody were to see him like this, they would think he was a nice person. I think that's what people don't take the time to understand. Everyone leaves him before they see his docile side. No wonder he's so mad all the time. He is probably really lonely. I found myself wanting to protect him from that. I brushed a piece of hair out of his face and smiled. In the end, he would die for the people he cares about. Those people just don't know. I smiled and rested my head back on his stomach. I won't leave.

I heard the door open and a nurse walked in. "Oh. Apologies. I just need to take your IV out." She whispered. "Oh." I said sitting up and gently scooting away. She took the tape off and pulled out the needle. "We will bring you a few glasses of water throughout the day." She whispered to me. "Okay. How long do you think I'll be staying here?" I asked. "We need to keep you here for a couple more days to make sure your wound heals correctly. We want to make sure the stitches don't tear." She said. "Okay. Thanks!" I said and smiled at her. "No problem." She smiled back and headed out of the room. I noticed that someone had put a pair of crutches beside the bed. I took them and scooted off the bed, leaving Bakugou to sleep. I slid them under my arms and stood on my good leg. I went over to the bathroom.

I washed my hands and walked back out. Fighter came up to me with a tiny ball. I carefully laid down my crutches and sat down on the floor in front of him. I grabbed the ball and rolled it across the floor. He chased it and brought it back. After a while of playing with Fighter, I decided to lay back down. My leg was killing me. I went back over to the bed and laid back down. This time, he moved his arm and reflexively held me tight to him. I blushed at the sudden movement. He was really warm. Friends do this right? Yeah. Totally... I closed my eyes and let myself melt into his embrace. I was about to fall asleep until someone came in the door. "Wassup roo-" I jerked my head up to see Mia at my door. "Sorry!" She said looking away. I (sadly) wiggled out of his strong hold. "Damn it! Does NOBODY in this fucking place know how to KNOCK!" I shouted. Bakugou stirred awake, his usual scowl returning. "The fuck is going on?" He groaned as he sat up and rubbed his eyes. "You guys decent?" She asked as she peeked through her fingers. She let her hand fall. "Sorry about that. OH! I brought your letter!" She said, digging through her bag to find it. "You left it at home didn't you." I face palmed. "Whoops." She scratched the back of her neck. "How do you forget THE ONE THING I TOLD YOU TO BRING?!" I asked grabbing the bridge of my nose. "Sorry! I really meant to bring it! I was just really excited to leave the house! Plus you mentioned a puppy. Where is it?" She asked. My eyes shot open. I looked at the door. "Mia. I'm gonna end your miserable life." I said. I was more than fuming, I was boarder line raging inside. "What did I do?!?!" She asked. "THE DOOR!!! HE GOT OUT! I CAN'T WALK TO FIND HIM AND THE HELL IF I'M WALKING ON THOSE DAMN CRUTCHES!!" I yelled. "Chill! I'll go look for him. Don't worry." She said. I shook my head and grabbed my lamp. "Cipher 1/16th" I said and grabbed the crutches. "Bakugou. I'll be right back. I'm going to look for Fighter." I said as I slid the crutches under my arms and got up. "I'm fuckin' coming." He said getting up and fixing his bed head. "You don't nee-" "Shut the hell up. I'm going." He said as he made his way towards the door. Mia looked extremely confused. "Well don't just stand there! Look for him!" I said to her as me and Bakugou left the room. "What if he got out? Someone could hit him with a car." I panicked. "Calm your tits. No need in fucking panicking about it." He grumbled. I then spotted a tiny tail go into another room. It was staff only. "Shit." I face-palmed. "What?" He asked. "He went into the staff room." I said. He sighed and grabbed my wrist. "Bakugou! We can't go in there!" I said. "And since fucking when do you follow other peoples rules?" He glared at me. "True. Okay. Let's do this." I said. "'s what I fuckin' thought" He said. He led me carefully to the door. He looked through the window and saw a nurse coming. "Shit!" He whisper yelled and made it look like we were just walking. The nurse walked out and smiled at us before walking away. Bakugou grabbed the door and we slipped in. "Okay. Let's find this stupid mutt." He groaned. We looked high and low. I ciphered a bit of energy to be able to walk so the nurses didn't hear my crutches. I laid them against the wall and continued looking for the small puppy. Soon enough, he came from under one of the shelves and sniffed my feet. I scooped him up. "There you ar-" I was interrupted by Bakugou covering my mouth and pulling me to a corner. My back was pressed against his chest as he tried to keep me quiet. A nurse walked in and started going through a drawer. I trembled and held onto the puppy for dear life. She finally found what she was looking for before she headed towards the door. She walked out and Bakugou finally let me go. I exhaled dramatically, trying to catch my breath. "C'mon before another damn nurse comes in." He said. I handed the puppy to him and grabbed my crutches. Bakugou took off his hoodie and put it over the pup. "Ok." I said. We snuck back out and walked back into the room. Soon enough, Mia came back as well. "Sorry about that." She said nervously. "You are lucky my leg hurts or else I would come over there and kick your sorry ass." I pouted as I folded my arms over my chest. "I can go see if they will give you more pain killers." She suggested. "I'm not allowed to take more than 4 every 4-8 hours and I'm not supposed to be waking on it in case the stitches rip." I said. "Like I said. I'm sorry. I don't know what else I can do." She said as she plopped on the sofa. She looked at Bakugou and held out her arms. "Pupper." Bakugou rolled his eyes. He walked over to her and placed him in her hands. "AWWW!" She squealed. "Did you guys name it? What kind of dog is it? Is it a boy or a girl?" She asked. "He's a boy, His name is fighter, And it's a wolf." I said all in one go. "Aw!" She said. 3..2..1 "WAIT WOLF?!" She exclaimed. "Yeah. I almost hit him on my way home from work but I swerved just in time. His mom abandoned him so I'm assuming he was the runt or something." I explained to her. She looked like she was about to die. "I LOVE WOLVES!!" She said as she squeezed him. There was a huge throbbing pain in my leg. I did my best to ignore it. "Do you think we can continue this visit another day?" I asked. "I know you just got here and everything but my leg is really hurting." I said. "Of course! I have to get home anyway. Got some homework to finish." She smiled as she put the puppy back on the floor. "Ok. I'll text you and let you know when you can stop by." I smiled. "Okay! I'll see you guys!" She said as she grabbed her bag and made her way out. As soon as she left, I curled into a ball and clenched my leg. "Oi. You okay?" He asked. "Yeah. It just hurts." I said. "I'll get a nurse." He said. I nodded. Soon enough, a nurse came in with a needle. "Hello dear! I'm going to numb your leg really quick. It should last for about 3 hours and then I can grab you more pain killers." She said. I nodded and sat up. She stuck the needle in and pushed down. I felt the medicine going in and it was painful. I cringed at the feeling. "Sorry. That was it! All done!" She said. "Would you like anything to eat?" She asked. It was the same nurse that gave me the IV. "I'll grab her some food." Bakugou said. "Okay." She smiled before turning to me and winking. I blushed. Bakugou walked out and closed the door behind him. "You two have got to be dating." She chuckled. "No. We're just really good friends!" I said waving my hands in front of my face. "Oh. I wasn't aware that best friends cuddled like that." She smirked. "T-that was..uh-a mistake. I was trying to calm down a bit and I kinda moved in my sleep I guess!" I said embarrassed. "Well, this is against my code as a nurse, I'm not supposed to interfere with your life but, he is a keeper. You should scoop him up before someone else does. Oh, and your puppy. I ran it by my manager and she is allowing it just this once." She smiled at me. "Okay. Thank you!" I said. She walked out and closed her door.
