"Are you sure?" asked the man, as the doctor attended to his wounds. Rushing through the room and working with the limited medical supplies, the doctor tried his best to save his severely injured boss.

"Yes. They are never gonna find him there." replied the middle-aged Asian woman standing next to the rickety bed where the man lay. There was a mix of rage and motherly affection in her eyes as she wiped the man's face to get rid of all the blood that was splattered on it, none of it being his own. The killing intent that radiated off her seeing her son suffering made the people in the room shiver.

"But it's an enemy turf... and how are you, even so, sure he will take him in? He doesn't even know about him..." The man seemed quite sceptical of the plan proposed. Whatever he was trying to hide and safeguard was far more important than his very own life. He did not want to take any risks regarding its safety.

"I have my ways." said the woman, softly caressing the man's hair. She visibly flinched as the doctor took out the bullets logged in the man's shoulder. She knew that it must've hurt given that he had to go through the procedure without the assistance of anaesthetics. But the said man didn't even frown as the doctor dug his fingers to scavenge the bullet lodged in his shoulder.

"I know what kind of messed up ways you have..." the man's words had a hint of sarcasm that seemed to be ticking the lady off. But before they could break into a full-blown argument, the tall lean guy standing on guard near the entrance to the room butted in.

"Let's not argue guys... Time's ticking. We need to make a decision." He said with an exasperated sigh, pushing back the brown curls of hair that seemed to be hindering his view.

The mere reminder of how little time they had left in their hands made the bickering duo shut up. They knew the decision needed to be made too quickly.

"Will it be safe... for both of them?" asked the man with a sigh.

"Yes. He's our best bet." Replied the lady as she helped the doctor with the bandages. She could see how getting battered and bruised didn't pain the man but the mere thought of his precious cargo being harmed nearly killed him. And this fueled her rage even more. Her vow to kill every single soul that had dared to go against her son became stronger.

The man knew there wasn't any other way out. If he wanted to hide his precious treasure safely, he needed to take the risk.

"Proceed with the plan."
