Beep beep.
Beep beep.
Beep beep.

Azen groggily opened her eyes at the sound of her alarm clock. She groaned in frustration and turned around in her bed, pulling her covers over her face. She didn’t feel like getting up just yet. She was still tired. Her alarm kept ringing, she sat up straight in her bed with a sleepy look on her face. She yawned as she turned off the alarm. Should I pretend I’m sick today? She lazily got up from her bed and picked out a set of clothes and changed into them. Another boring day here I come.

After changing she left her room and made her way to the kitchen.

“Good morning sweetie.”

Azen looked over at her mother who put something in the toseter. “Morning.” She yawned sleepily.

“Hey kid.”

Azen recognized the voice who spoke up. She was really hoping it wasn’t who she thought it was. She turned around to see who it was, “Eliza?”

Eliza grinned ruffling Azen’s hair, “Miss me kid?”

“Hey! Hands off!” Azen shoved her sister’s hand away frantically fixing her hair.

Their mother put a plate of waffles in front of Azen.

Eliza peered over to see the waffles. “Look at how lucky you are,” she lightly pushed her younger sister. “All mom would give me for breakfast was a protein shake and here you are with waffles.”

Azen stuck her tongue out at Eliza and continued to add things to her waffles.

“You little brat-” Eliza was about to grab Azen by her shirt but their mother turned around which stopped her in her tracks. She patted Azen’s head and smiled sweetly at her mom.

“Okay now hurry it up, Eliza’s driving you today and it’s getting late.” Their mother smiled.

Azen with her mouth full, whining, “Why her?”

Eliza wrapped her arm around Azen giving her a side hug. “I’m trying to be nice, kid.”

“Just go back to your fiance,” She snarkingly said, pushing Eliza off of her.

Eliza walked over to the counter and grabbed her keys. “C’mon kid,” She walked back to her sister, “time to go.” Eliza grabbed Azen’s arm and dragged her out of her chair.

“Hey!” Azen hissed trying to get out of her sister’s grip. “Don’t drag me! I’m not even done eating! I said let go Eliza!”

Once in her car Eliza was jamming out to a song on the radio. Azen glanced at her sister terrified it was tourture listing to her. I swear she becomes more insane every time I see her. The song slowly fades out  and turns into daily news. Eliza slowly turned down the volume. Azen was relieved her private concert was over.

Eliza made a turn on the road, “Okay, I’m ready to talk.”

Azen looked confused, she had no idea what that meant.

“You’re gonna be one of my bridesmaids.”

Azen scoffed, “No thanks.”

“I didn’t give you a choice kid,” She smirked. “and you’re helping me plan the wedding.”

“The only wedding I’m planning is my own. Besides isn’t Selena supposed to be doing that with you?” Azen looked out the window. The talk of Eliza’s wedding always made her uncomfortable.
