"Hey there! Do you know where I can dump all of this─ my bad! My hand slipped."
Taehyung shrieked, turning around to face a smirking Jimin. He had to uncover his eyes from the slimy, dirty seaweed that had just been dumped right on top of his head.
His nose scrunched up, his fingers tried to pry the strands out of his hair, separating it with slippery difficulty.
Genuinely disgusting.
"What do you want this time, Jimin." Taehyung more like stated with a loud sigh, it not even being an actual question anymore. The seaweed he removed sunk to the bottom of the ocean, disappearing into the darkness as it sunk downwards.
Who the hell knows what Jimin had even done with it before using him as his personal dumpster.
Not answering Taehyung's question, the sliver tailed slowly swam towards the other, only ending up in Taehyung swimming back.
The blue haired gulped, trying to maintain his posture.
Jimin chuckled seeing the facial expressions the other made.
"Are you intimidated by me?"
For Taehyung, Jimin's smirk sickened him to his core. He wanted nothing more than to slap that annoying trait off the elder's face, but he would never have the courage to do so.
"N-no, I'm not scared at all. I have no reason to be."
Jimin hummed, knowing the blue haired male in front of him was just denying it.
He moved towards his ear, a deep chuckle leaving his mouth before whispering,
"I'll destroy you. No matter what it takes, how long it takes, I'll ruin you. This is all the beginning, I haven't even started yet."After that and one deadly glare, Jimin swam away, leaving the poor boy there with trembling lips.
Taehyung was terrified. He knew Jimin, he won't stop till he gets what he wants.
The blue tailed had no idea why he would hate him this much. Sure, he might want to be the most popular merman, but does he really have to go this extent?
Taehyung himself is a very kind person, he loves to make new friends. He wouldn't even be able to harm a shrimp. He wants nothing more than to see others happy.
He wants the elder to stop bullying him. Hell, he would even be prepared to give it a try to be friends. But he knows that there is no way that that's going to happen. However, that didn't make him stop wishing.
Sighing sadly, he looked down at his drooping fins.
All because of that, the reason as to why Jimin pesters him on the daily. The merman bit his lip thought, softly stroking what he looked down at.
Finally calming down a little, he took a deep breath and decided to look for Hoseok, his best friend who he planned to make up with. Oddly, he was no where to be found since yesterday.
But, maybe, Hoseok was avoiding Taehyung.
Noting to himself that he should just give the other some time, he nodded to himself.
With that, he decided to swim to his secret hideout, where no one would bother him.
────🐚────"Mhm! Mhmmmh!" Seokjin laughed loudly, seeing Jeongguk accidentally bite off a huge chunk of ice cream, the entire piece now in his mouth causing his lips to tremble and brain to freeze, along with his tongue.
Jeongguk had his head slightly turned sideways, looking up. His eyes were as wide as bowling balls and his mouth shaped an 'O' form. He was desperately flaunting around his arms, having no other option than to wait till the ice cold chunk melted.
Seokjin had to wipe his tears away from laughing, the sight was quite entertaining.
Especially when the younger tried to glare at him from his position, only to end up choking.
The elder shook his head, grabbing a napkin out of his pocket now with pity. Handing it over, he told him to spit it out in that.
Doing just that, Jeongguk calmed down from his traumatic experience and now successfully glared at his best friend.
"You weren't supposed to laugh! And you had this the whole time in your pocket?! Do you like to see me suffer?!" Jeongguk raised his voice, referring to the napkin before throwing it in a garbage bin they walked past on their way.
Trying to surpress a giggle but failing miserably, Seokjin pretend to zip his mouth and throw away the 'key,' slightly shaking his head.
"Good." Jeongguk huffed, kicking away a small rock.
After a short silence, Seokjin spoke up.
Apparently the key he just threw away magically found its way back to his mouth again, unzipping it.
"I think it's wierd.."
The younger raised his brow, turning to look at the elder.
"I have no idea what you're referring to, but I agree."
Seokjin laughed again, "What you told me, about those cops who randomly showed up to get that fishnet."
Jeongguk ooh'ed, looking back at his feet while they slowly continued walking.
He didn't know what to do with all of the things he had recently been experiencing. His head felt like it was about to burst. He wanted to tell someone. Keeping this all to himself was huge.
The only thing he told Seokjin so far, was about that fishnet. Not what happened to it, absolutely not. Just─ he had stood there, gazing along the depths, when those two wary men showed up.
He did his utter best to keep all of the details to himself. For example, that it wasn't a regular fishnet, but instead covered in blood, not even a whole piece anymore.
"You have a point.. Why would the police show up for something that isn't even illegal? There are way more fishnets out there, but they had to get that one specifically. It's odd, I know."
Jeongguk's eyebrows were furrowed as he thought out loud, wanting to solve the forming mystery.
Those two men had acted strange.
"Anyways, that's something we won't know. I'll see you soon again, Jeongguk-ah. Sleep well for later, okay?"
Seokjin smiled as they arrived at the younger's apartment, the male now fumbling with the keys while holding a bag of new clothes.
Once he opened the door he stepped inside, turning around to look at the elder again. Waving, he gave a small smile and after bidding his goodbye he closed the door.
As soon as the door was closed, he dropped his bag and nearly tripped over his own feet as he stumbled out of the back-door, which directly leads to the water.
He hadn't even arrived at the rock yet, when he already started writing something down on a new paper with his marker.
'It feels like I'm living in a dream. I feel so special right now, since I saw you with my own eyes and you even thanked me with that beautiful shell. I should thank you f─'
He groaned loudly in annoyance since the paper wasn't big enough. Once again, he had to scribble away the last sentence to his dismay.
Now peacefully sitting down on the rock, he stuck his hand into the water and lets go of the note, watching as it drifts away.
"There's so much we don't know about this world.." Jeongguk mumbled, staring at the unknown dark depths.
