2Pac is definitely one of the most influential artists of all time, but as far as the level of impact goes in comparison to Eminem, I feel Shady has a slight edge. While many artists and even Eminem himself say that Shakur's lyrics and story-telling ability influenced many artists and are time capsules to behold, we gotta understand how much bigger Eminem's impact has been.
With the creation of the Marshall Mathers Foundation and Mom's Spaghetti, he's helped millions of people whether they had disabilities and having previously funded the repairs to the Manchester bombing-- over $2 million. To add, Mom's Spaghetti has raised several million in helping DJ's whose jobs were cut off during coronavirus. 2Pac impacted people lyrically and was incredibly wise, but the Tupac Foundation nor the Lisa Lopes Foundation have reached as many people as Eminem has. All of 2Pac's foundations used to focus on his local area only; granted, it's extended since then, but Eminem's charity work has been astounding for several years.
Aside from his charity work, Eminem's Shady Records brought on some of the most incredible artists that we've ever met. 50 Cent-- one of the biggest acts and the artist with the strongest debut hip-hop album of all time, was discovered by Eminem. D12, Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse, Royce Da 5'9"-- all of these are acts whose careers have accelerated after Eminem brought them into Hip-Hop.
