"Can you keep a secret?" He asked me and I could tell what he was about to say was important. The tone in his voice was nothing but desperate and the look in his eye was nothing but a demanding plea. His green eyes were searching for mine I could tell. It didn't need to be light to know that discernible fact. He always talked to me while looking me straight in the eye. My biggest weakness. He could always tell when I'm lying.
With that, I replied.
"I'll try my best."
"No I mean it," he said it again his tone completely serious. I had never seen him like this before and I could tell this was important.
"Can you keep a secret?"
"Yes," I replied.Yes. One little word was all it took for my world to me completely flipped upside down. Secrets were filled into the empty gaps in my mind and my little job? And I on the other hand was told it would be completely easy, but last time I checked living a life of hell and confidentiality is anything but easy.
