Prologue: The Adventure of A Lifetime...

*Ian's POV*

I'm currently in my room sitting in front of my desk looking at my little journal on a certain page, it was the stuff I wanted to do with dad and these were the same things I did with my brother instead.

Ian: *sighs* I really wish we could go on another journey like what we did when we tried to bring dad back for a day, but chances are to have another chance to go on more adventures is slim...

Well I believe Barley will digress and try to put some light on the situation, like saying: "Ian, there is one thing an adventurer should never question and that is fate. We may have another opportunity to go on another adventure that is even better than the previous, only way to tell is to wait and see."

I hear someone rushing upstairs from outside my door and next I hear heavy knocking followed by a voice I'm all too familiar with...

???: Ian, Ian! I have found something very interesting, please open the door!

I quickly get up and rush to my door, I then unlock the door and then Barley dashes in with a weird book.

Ian: Barley what is it? Did you find something?

Barley: Even better! I believe I found a book that contains spells never before seen and I know my spells!

Ian: Wait a minute hold on, your telling me that you found a book that contains spells never before seen?

Barley: That's what I'm telling you my dear brother. This book looks so old and genuine, I think we're gonna probably start another adventure with this in mind.

Ian: What makes you say something like that?

Barley: Thanks to my knowledge of how quests begin and end, I believe there is some sort of significance to this book and it's secrets could probably reveal even more about magic.

Oh no, I think I know where this is going. Barley has a tendency to get old things regarding the ways of how magic is used and try to do said methods or try to at least use those techniques to try and truly bring magic back into everyone else who has the Magic Gift.

Ian: Barley, this could probably be a scam. We don't even know if the "spells" in there are legitimate or not and I don't think you can just find this at some yard sale.

I've known Barley my entire life and I think he fell for some trap and blindly bought a book that is probably filled with nothing but junk.

Barley: I didn't buy this at a yard sale, I'm currently checking out this book from our local library.

Ian: What do you mean? Cause last time I remember they don't have any books regarding spells and magic at all.

Barley: Maybe the folks at the library thought that since magic is coming back they probably thought that people would like to read up on some of these spells and learn about wizards along with their respected journeys.

Ian: Whatever you say. So have you read the book?

He looks at me with a look that is filled with excitement and happiness.

Barley: indeed I have, and there is a spell we should definitely try right now!

I see Barley hopping up and down with anticipation like a child, sometimes when it comes to these things he can act like a child but it's amusing to see him like this.

Ian: *chuckles* Ok, so do you know what spell we should try to cast?

I approach my bed and crouch underneath it to look for my staff. After feeling around for it I felt a splinter on my finger.
