I feel the leaves crunch under my boots as Megan, my daughter, drags me along. "Come on, Mom! You said you would teach me archery today." I then see where she is draging me to, The Woods. I stop dead in my tracks. "No," I whisper. She pauses, then continues to yank on my arm. "You. Said. That. You. Would," she says between tugs. "Nooooo...." I moan. To many memories, to many deaths, to much.... to much..... I fall into a fetal position and rock, chanting "He's gone" under my breath uncontrollably. "Daddy!" Megan calls. "Mommy's having an attack!!!!" She shouts for Peeta over and over, running to the house. Peeta slams the door open and runs to my aid. "Katniss! Its okay, Katniss. Every things fine." He drops to his knees by my side and raps his arms around me. He strokes my hair. "What is it? What's bothering you?" I grab his face, the memories flashing through my mind. His face, his bow, his strength, his lips. The last thing I see before I black out is Peeta shaking my shoulders shouting something I'm to far gone to hear.

I dream that I'm in the woods, 17 again. I stock a deer through thick greenery. My bow is drawn, aimed ready to fir.... "What are you gonna do with that, Catnip?" Startled, my fingers slip and the arrow hits a tree, inches from the deer's neck. I stand up, enraged. "Damn you, Ga..." His face is unmistakable. "Gale," the name barley escapes my lips.
Suddenly, I'm in the Victor's Village, my house. He stand in front of me, beaten and bruised. My arms grab him and suddenly we're locked in a deep kiss. He pulls away. "I knew you would kiss me," he says. "Because I'm in pain. That's the only way I get your attention." He walks out, leaving me stunned.
Next I find myself in District Two on Gale's lap, kissing him intensely. He pulls away once more. "This isn't right," he says. "It's like kissing a drunk person, it doesn't count."
"Katniss!!!!!" Peeta yells, waking me from my dream. I look around. I am no longer in the comfort of Gale's embrace, no longer feeling the warmth of his lips, I am on the cold ground of District Twelve, longing for my dream to be real.
I reach out and stroke Peeta's hair. Soft, too soft actually. I need something stronger, I need something rougher, "I need Gale," I whisper. Peeta goes pale. "But you got me, Katniss." I laugh. "And I love you, never forget it. I just need to see Gale. I think it will give closure to these memories," I tell him. He nods, still flushed, and leaves me be. I just sit there and wonder how I am supposed to see him in the first place. I give up after a few minutes and just let sleep consume me.
