Sink Your Teeth In

Prologue

"Because you know I'm all about that bass, 'bout that bass no treble I'm all ab-" I stopped singing one I realized there was no music. " Hey! I was listening to that." I said to Winston. "Too bad that song is really annoying. Let's listen to one of my songs!" Winston said as he put in his CD that his friend gave him for our 3 year anniversary. He started humming to the song Centuries by Fall Out Boy. "Nope I'm not listening to this, we listen to it all the time."I reached for the eject button on the stereo but was soon rejected by my boyfriends hand. "Hey! You jerk! Why do you even like that song?" Winston started humming along to the song. "See you dont even know it so you're humming.'' I said laughing at him.
All of the sudden I saw something dash across the road. "Did you see that?" I asked Winston, my hands shaking. "See what?" Winston looked at me suspiciously. "There was something that ran across the road. It was really fast." I told him looking around outside the car. "Oh, I'm so scared." He laughed and I smacked his arm. He stopped laughing and turned off the music. "What was that for?" He asked. "Shh there's something out there." He stopped the car and was about to get out when I stopped him. "No don't what if there's a bear?" I pulled on his arm. "I doubt there's a bear I mean, yeah we are near the woods but the bears are probably hibernating." He said and shook my hand off of him. "Be careful babe, I love you." I told him and kissed him on the cheek. "Stop worrying I'll be right back, I promise." He replied. He got out of the car and used his flashlight on his phone to look around. I got on my phone and looked through Twitter.

It had been at least 20 minutes since he had gone to look. I was starting to get anxious. I called his cellphone only to find it ringing in the seat next to me. I groaned and ended the call. I looked around and sighed. I rolled down the window and called out his name.
"Winston!" No answer. "WINSTON STOP PLAYING AROUND!" I heard a rustle in the bushes and something coming towards me. "Jeez Winston there you are. You had me worried what was out there? And why did you come out of the bushes?" I asked him. "Winston hello?" He busted huffed. I looked closer and realized that the figures coming towards me was much bulkier and taller than Winston. I rolled the window up quickly and climbed over to the driver seat. I put the gear in forward and started driving. I looked back and saw the figure was still coming.
