With everything going on, Taylor needed a distraction and she found herself excited for Halloween. She was usually on shift for the festivities of Halloween, but this year was different and she'd volunteered to help out the chief at the firehouse.

Dressed in her cat costume, she looked at her reflection in the mirror and adjusted her ears. She had just entered the kitchen of the apartment, when Kelly walked in with Shay and wolf-whistled.

"Meow," Shay stated with a grin as she disappeared to her room.

"Looking good," Kelly added, kissing Taylor's cheek and taking one of the cookies that she'd just put in a tupperware container.

"Thanks," Taylor replied, slapping his arm and glaring playfully.

They soon headed over to the firehouse, where the setup had already been started and Taylor took the tupperware containers she was balancing to the rec room. Unable to resist, she grabbed a couple of pieces of candy from the bowl and popped one in her mouth.

"Don't let my sister see you do that," came Antonio's voice from behind her, causing her to jump and turn around, "She'll chop your hands off."

"That I can believe," Taylor replied with a chuckle, "Are you looking for Gabby?"

"Actually, I was looking for you... just wanted to see how you're doing after everything that happened."

"I'll be fine, I'm just glad that it's over," Taylor answered, smiling as the first few kids began to trickle in and dropping candy into their Halloween bags.

Antonio soon left and Taylor returned her full focus to the task at hand, smiling as Kelly walked over. They had been handing out candy for nearly an hour, when Shay arrived with Corrine and made her way over to them.

"Say cheese love birds," Shay instructed, holding up her phone and grinning as she showed them the picture.

"Send that to me," Taylor requested.

It was late by the time they got home and Taylor went to get changed, dropping onto the sofa with a tired sigh. Kelly soon joined her, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and kissing her head as she curled into his side.

"Do you want to watch a horror movie and eat the candy that I stole from Gabby's stash?" Kelly inquired, causing Taylor to chuckle and nod, "It?"

"I guess," Taylor agreed reluctantly, "Just a warning though, I may spend a majority of the film watching through my fingers..."

"We can watch something else."

"No, it's fine."

As forewarned, Taylor spent a large portion of the film with her hands in front of her face and was glad when it finished.

They spent the next day at the boatyard and Taylor helped Kelly work on his latest client's boat, handing him the tools that he needed. There was no doubt that he was an amazing firefighter, but his craftsmanship and knowledge of boats were just as impressive.

"Do you ever think about your life after firefighting?" Kelly asked as he sanded a piece of wood.

"Not really to be honest, do you?"

"Sometimes, mainly when I'm out here working on a customer's boat or after a hard shift," Kelly admitted, "I can see myself doing this full time, but I'm not ready to walk away from firefighting or 51 just yet."

"Good to hear."Taylor didn't think too far into the future and it hurt to even think about not being a firefighter, but she did hope that Kelly appeared in it in some capacity.
