Dedicated to, well....no one? It you silent readers woud start commenting, maybe it could be you. ;)

I chuckled at the memory. I really hated Niall when I first met him. I didn't hate him because of his personality, but because he was something new. I hated new. Luckily, Niall eventually taught me not to hate anything until you have tried it.

I looked down at his face, and decide to grab his hand in mine. I was relieved to feel that his hand was still warm, even if it was limp. I intertwined our fingers, and I know that a part of me hoped that he would give me a sign that he could feel it. He didn't, though.

More than anything, I wanted him to at least open his eyes. I wanted to see the darkest depths of the ocean, the most beautiful shades of blue that only existed in his eyes. But that was impossible, because the love of my life was in a coma. And his chances of waking up are slimming day by day, just as the flower is slowly dying. The rose still looks perfectly new on the outside, but if you could take a look into it, you would see that it is dying from the inside out. That is how I felt. I was slowly dying too, even though I seemed to be doing better.

As a looked at his peacefully sleeping face, memories of the times before came flooding into my brain, and taking me away from reality.

I was slowly warming up to Niall. Louis, Zayn, Liam and I have been hanging out a lot, and Niall was often invited.

Once every month, our group would always have a sleepover at my house. Last month, we were still getting used to having Niall around, so he wasn't aware of the hangout. But this month, Louis keeps pressuring me to invite Niall myself. I am still a little wary around him, but Louis tries his hardest to make me at least interact with him. Of course, I didn't want to be the one to invite Niall. I really didn't even think he should come at all. This sleepover at my house once a month was always our thing. Just the four of us. But now Niall is becoming closer friends with Louis, Liam, and Zayn; and I am expected to befriend him with welcoming arms as well.

I knew that the lads would be mad at me if I didn't invite him, and they would never invite him themselves, because it is my house. That left me with two options. I could stay in my comfort zone and not invite Niall, or I could make the lads happy and invite him myself.

Although I knew that the lads would eventually get over it, I also knew that they really liked Niall, especially Liam. I decided I would man up, and tell Niall about it. And I will try to be nicer to him. Emphasis on the 'try'.

"Hey Niall." I said, walking up to the blonde lad's locker in the hallway. I knew where it was only because my locker is across the hall. I always watch as Louis stops at my locker before lunch, while Liam keeps walking, and stops at Niall's locker. Zayn came from the art wing on the opposite side of the school, so we would usually just meet him in the cafeteria.

Niall turns around in surprise. As soon as he sees it is me, his eyes seem to light up a bit. Or maybe that is just me. But he does smile at me.

"Hey Harry. What's up?" He greets me, before turning back to his locker to get his bag out.

"Well, the lads and I are having a sleepover at my house tomorrow, and they wanted to know if you could come." I felt bad as soon as the "they" left my mouth, but there was nothing I could do about it now.

Niall lifted his bag on his shoulder before slamming his locker shut. Then he turned to look at me.

"Do they want me to come, or do you and they want me to come?" He asked, leaning his shoulder against the cool metal of the school lockers before raising an eyebrow at me.

"I don't care if you come or not. I was just trying to be polite." I reply in a cool tone before turning on my heel and walking away from the blonde.

"Wait! Harry!" I hear Niall yell before footsteps begin quickly following mine.

"I didn't mean it like that. I meant to ask you if you want me there, because if you don't then I won't come." Niall had caught up to me and had put his hand on my shoulder, turning me around to face him as he apologized.

I was about to repeat my former comment about me not caring, but then I thought of the lads. They would be so disappointed if I messed this up for them. So I put on a smile and said "Yeah Niall, I would like it if you came."

I am not sure if it was just me, or if I really did see his eyes grow a bit brighter, and his normal smile grow a fraction of an inch.

"Well, then I'll be there."
