This is Lucy. She came to us during the lockdown and became a part of the family within the 4-5 months she stayed with us. But I'm happy to announce that we have officially adopted her.
When we took the kitty to the vet, we crossed every muscle in our bodies, begging to the gods to please not be chipped.
She was. The machine beeped over her neck and my mum burst into tears, as well as me.
I became very attached to her because she was the first pet I had soul responsibility over. I fed her every morning and night, she slept in my room and she sat on my lap as a wrote my fanfictions or drew. We planned to adopt her because she was such a beautiful companion to me.
The owners came by the next day to pick her up, and found Lucy sitting on my windowsill. They looked really happy to see her healthy and well taken care of.
I came out to greed them with a heavy heart along with my mum, and they talked about how Lucy was alway a very scared and outdoor cat. So, of course they were shocked when I told them she slept in my room and lived in peace with our dog.
In the end, they offered me if I'd be happy to adopt her, because she looked so happy and it would be cruel to be taken back to the apartment they had moved into.
Apparently they tried to take her back a month ago, finding her across the street from our place, but she came back to us and they thought she was gone for good. So I happily agreed, secretly overjoyed to keep my fluffy little friend.
Mum cried again in front of the owners. Thanking them for the greatest gift during lockdown and how much it meant to me and her. It was true, even though I tried not to show it.
It was very wholesome and I'm happy to still have her.

HumorTHIS ISN'T A BOOK. This is where I'm going to dump those 'tag challenges' and other stuff such as questions you can ask me. This is a safe space, get comfortable and go get a hot chocolate. I might post art and short stories here, idk yet.
