Bradley's POV

It was a day of the week like any other, I woke up early and prepared a strong black coffee. I sat in front of the TV and turned on the notebook, I did it almost every morning. But I wasn't prepared for what was to come. In the suggestions, a report appeared that made me forget to breathe for a few seconds. It was her, Stefani, who was stamped on every gossip site kissing a guy I figured I had already seen somewhere. I was angry, sad and needed to talk to her. I didn't want to fight or anything, because I didn't have the right to do that, but I wanted to hear from her that she didn't love me anymore. It was useless, she didn't answer my calls, let alone my messages, and I was unable to contact her via whatsapp because I had been blocked.

— B? Son?

— Hi Mom! - He was so distracted since the event that he didn't see Gloria approaching.

— Son, you have been looking at the screen of this cell phone for some time.

— I can't believe it, mom. I lost her completely.

— Honey, come here. She pulled out a bench and sat down next to him, giving him a comforting hug.

— Do you know, mother? On Sunday, when she posted this photo here - He turned the phone screen over — I was happy. Despite the desire to be there with her, I was happy because she looked well, relaxed and from what Natali had been reporting, she wasn't having a good time. Only now it fits that day that she went out with her new boyfriend. That means he was there with her, that he saw her without a bikini and that they even made love. - Bradley collapsed in Gloria's lap. — My Stefani, mom.

 — My Stefani, mom

— God, B. Not even when you're a boy did you fall down like that for a girl. I'm very sorry, son, very much. I have a lot of appreciation for Stefani, but I love you, your sister and Lea more than anything. And B, you can't let that affect you to the point of disrupting your career or parenting.

— Not that, Mom. You know me. I did what I did for Lea and Stefani and their career. I will move on, this is a consequence of what I chose. It just hurt like hell to see her with another guy.

— B, but you've seen her with Christian. What is different now?

— Because I had her and let her slip away. I know there is no turning back, she is very hurt by me. Stefani wants to get married, have children, and I know she's going to start working to make this happen and it hurts to know that it'll not with me.

— Bradley, love. You need to calm down! We just saw a kiss, a little kiss. Honey, you already kissed Ellen on her show and I saw no difference between your kiss and Stefani's kiss with this guy.

Bradley looked at his mother with a surprised face. — What did you mean?

— I don't want to say anything, it's just strange for Stefani to go out with a guy she apparently started dating (?), I don't even know if that's the status, not so long ago and sit at the restaurant window. And the funniest thing, Bradley, this was Holly who commented to me, these photos only appeared two days later and with an exclusive report from Peopple ?!

Bradley was thoughtful, but before he could answer anything to his mother he heard small steps towards the garden where they were.

— Daddy! - Lea had just woken up and was coming towards Bradley's lap.

- Good morning love of my life! What a heavy diaper. Is this all pee, Miss Lea? - He kissed Lea's belly, who burst out laughing while she was still sleepy.

Gloria watched the interaction of the two and felt satisfied, if there was someone who made Bradley forget any problems or sadness, it was Lea. She was the only one who could heal him.

— And grandma doesn't get kisses? - She jumped on her father's lap and went to lie on Gloria's chest.

— Shall we go to the kitchen? I'm going to make some delicious red fruit pancakes for Lea. Then we'll take a shower and Daddy will take you to school, right?

— Yes Dad! School and friends.

Gloria and Bradley laughed at Lea's excitement. — Yes, Lea, school and friends. - Gloria agreed.
----------------------------------------------

— Come on, my love, you will be late for school.

— Daddy, Lea tired and sleepy. - The girl threw herself back on the couch.

— God, B. She is just as sly as you were when you were little. - Gloria laughed at her granddaughter who was lazy.

— No way, I bet she took this item from Irina. - Bradley laughed.

— Come on, Lea. I carry you, come on little bear. We're almost late.

Bradley's POV

Lea is the most valuable thing I have in my life, being part of her daily life is my greatest gift. When Irina and I broke up, my biggest fear was that I would somehow lose touch with Lea, her childhood and her development. Things with Irina are still not easy, but she never used our daughter to punish me in any way. She loves Lea as much as I do. And I love her for that.
Although we didn't work as a couple, I hope that somehow we can be friends again.

On the way home I find myself thinking about what my mom and Holly said. I review the photos now calmly and it doesn't really feel like an intimate kiss. Fuck, it's still a kiss. This is more than she and I have had in the past few months. I love Stefani in a way that I never thought to love anyone.
I notice my cell phone vibrating.

Hey, Cooper, I'll be in NY tomorrow and I'm going to charge you for that dinner you promised me.
