Ebon opened his eyes, awakened by the sun shining through the window. As he looked down he saw Dawn, her head resting on his chest. The sun rays bouncing off her bare skin making her appear to glow. He slept here last night at her request. After the reunion with her mother Dawn had been overcome with joy. Dante, Dawn, Talia, and Ebon, had stayed up for hours talking. Dante and Talia retelling stories of the past, and Dawn getting to know her mother. Dante had finally ordered Dawn to take Ebon home when he caught him nodding off a few hours before sunrise. Ebon ran his hand down the length of her back as he kissed her forehead. She started to wake. "Good morning beautiful. Did you get enough sleep?" Said Ebon. "No, just let me lay here for a few more hours. I have discovered the world's most comfortable pillow." Said Dawn as she smiled and kissed his chest. Her smile was intoxicating, and Ebon would do anything to keep it there forever. "You can stay there as long as you want baby, but if you keep kissing me I can promise you won't be getting much sleep." Said Ebon. "Do you promise?" Dawn said as she kissed him again. Ebon laughed as he pulled her up and captured her lips. Dawn's phone rang on the dresser beside her bed. "Saved by the bell." Said Ebon. "Mmm, but I do not want to be saved." Dawn replied as she rolled over to check the phone. It was a number that she didn't recognize. She answered. "Hello?" "Hello Muhle wami. Your father has given me a most interesting gift. It is a telephone that requires no wires and can be carried in your pocket. You can make calls anywhere! I am also told that I can see you while I talk, but I cannot recall the method to do this." Said Talia. "Mother, I am glad you called but why are you awake so early?" Said Dawn. "I have slept enough for a lifetime. Besides there is so much I have missed, so much of the world that has changed. I must become acclimated to it as quickly as possible." Said Talia. Ebon began to trace an invisible line down the length of Dawn's arm, removing the covers that denied him the view of her beautiful skin as he went. "Stop it." She whispered as the tingling sensation made her almost drop the phone. "Your father wished for us to remain in bed all day, but I have convinced him to show me the city. Will you join us for lunch this afternoon at...what was it? Fogo de chao?" Said Talia. "It would be my pleasure." Dawn replied. "Wonderful, and bring Ebon as well." Said Talia. "My parents wish us to join them for lunch." Dawn said as she hung up the phone. "Oh yeah? That's cool. So how're you felling about having your mom back?" Said Ebon. "I love that she has returned to us, I have never seen my father smile so much in all my years. Although at times it can be a bit strange. Her appearance and mind state are more akin to someone my age than my father's." Said Dawn. "It's hard to imagine that all that time lying dormant didn't have any negative effects on her." Said Ebon as he recalled the sinister look in Talia's eyes when she awoke. "Yes it was quite the incantation my father had on her. I have never heard of anything like it." Replied Dawn. "Well you know we have a few more hours before lunch." Ebon said, dismissing his paranoia. "I wonder how we should pass the time?" Said Dawn as she threw the covers onto the floor.

"Excuse me commander, I've come to report that we have yet to regain communication with Enchanter Troya since her insertion into Windsor International." Jason slowly lifted his head off his desk as he rubbed his eyes. He sat back in his chair and pulled out a pack of Kool cigarettes from his shirt pocket. "Have the Elders been been notified?" He said as he lit the cigarette. "Not yet sir. I was instructed to notify you of the situation first." "Good, lets keep the brass out of this for now. I don't want Grey worrying about his little pet. These people are becoming a real pain in the ass." Said Jason as he took a long drag of his cigarette. Between the Elders obsession with bringing in their wayward son and Dante's refusal to follow their laws, Jason was finding it nearly impossible to get in a quality nap. "Assemble a strike team and have them on standby for an assault on the Windsor compound south of the city. I'm calling in Mandrake." Said Jason. "Forgive me sir, but...are you sure sending Mandrake is a good idea?" "Sometimes in order to catch a snake, you have to use a bigger snake." Jason replied.
