Robin King.
"It's Robin King." Nancy whispered excitedly.
"I know."
"Why is Robin King sleeping in a library? Wait why is Robin King reading a book? Well fair enough it is a children's boo-"
Robin shifted in her sleep slightly, her face now hidden behind a black curly lock.
"We should probably wake her." I said hesitantly. Questions swirled around my head, how did she get in? Why was she here? All would be answered if I awoke the sleeping beast.
Nancy looked at me like I had horns growing out of my head, "Are you crazy?"
"No but it seems like the only logical choice we have. We can't just leave her here."
"We can pretend we never saw her."
"How bad can it be? We'll wake her up and explain that I work here and would appreciate it if she left as its closing time." I suggest. I really wasn't in the mood to have to deal with this right now. I should be in the bath relaxing, reading a good book before bed not standing in a cold library bickering with Nancy at 9 o'clock at night.
"It's your death wis-"
"Get away from me." A voice mumbled from below. I stood back looking down, but her eyes were still closed. She had a scrunched up expression on her face as if she was in pain. She was dreaming. I took the time to notice her attire, she was wearing all black as well as her signature combat boots. She was very pale and thin but looked to be taller than me.
I knew her face from school and her reputation of course but I'd never had a proper look at her before. Whenever I heard her and her group of friends coming in my direction id stick my nose in a book or my locker.
I kneeled next to her and shook her arm slightly, "excuse me." I said clearing my throat.
I got the fright of my life as I immediately felt her pull back and push herself away from me on the floor. Nancy let out a small scream and ran up the aisle, vanishing around the corner. So much for the help I thought, rolling my eyes.
A pair of poisonous green eyes glared up at me from the floor, "You can't just spy on people like that you know it's creepy." She spat.
I tried to remain calm despite her bad attitude. I also tried to pretend like I wasn't completely terrified of Robin who was currently getting to her feet and who was in fact, much taller than me.
"I'm sorry to have to wake you but we're closing." I replied timidly not wanting to aggravate her more than I already had.
Robin glanced at me, picking up a couple of books from the floor and stuffing them in her backpack.
"You need to check them out." I added quietly.
Her head snapped towards me, "Oh do I?" she sneered and to my horror she stared down at my chest, "I prefer them on the bigger side but thanks for offering." she turned on her heels and marched out.
