"Are we almost there?" Lily asked he father. They were on their way to their new home in London.
"Almost kid. Just a little bit longer, okay?"
"Kay," she sighed. She still missed her mother, even though it's been almost ten years. He dad always tried to cheer her up but it never really seemed to work. While he didn't feel good about making Lily move away from her friends and what is now her ex boyfriend, he still knew it would be best for the both of them to move away from there. Bath was the place of Jane's death and just being there made them both hurt.
"How's Tyler?" Tom asked, trying to stop the silence.
"We broke up last month."
"Oh. Are you still good friends?"
"I guess so?"
"What about Olivia?" Olivia was one of Lily's oldest friends. They've known each other sense they were five. She was there for Lily after the accident.
"She's good."
"Do you think she'll want to come here for Christmas? I could buy her a ticket,"Tom suggested.
"Maybe. I'll ask."

Two hours later they arrived at their new house. It was small but they also had neighbors.
"So what do you think?" Tom asked. "The town stores are just a few miles east and your new secondary school is really close."
"It looks nice," Lily said as she grabbed her bag and got out of the car. Her dad handed her a spare house key and she went inside.
"You can pick a room, there's two," Tom said kindly. Lily went upstairs and put her bag in the middle of the floor of the biggest room. She started at a new school tomorrow and honestly was not at all ready. She sat on the bed, even though it had no sheet. She picked up her phone and stared to text Olivia. ]

"Hi."
"Hay. You made it yet?"
"Yeah we just got here. How are you?"
"I'm doing well. Me and Alec we just gonna go to the skate park. Really wish you could join us."
"Yeah me too. That sounds like fun."
"So when do you start school?"
"Tomorrow."
"That sucks. Sorry hun, gotta go. Talk to you later though. Bye."
"Bye."
