"Rachel, Cissie, and Cassie are going with me to stay with my mom, and Thomas is supportive. Everything will be perfect."

Two days later, Dick sends a message to the team about training this afternoon. I groan as I read his text, and drag myself from my bed. I take a short shower and as I exit I wish I could stay under the warm water for the whole day, but I have training and I already make up most of the water bill.
Stepping into my closet, I pick out a pair of leggings and a white cropped Nike shirt. After throwing the flexible outfit on, I pull on some tennis shoes and run a brush through my hair. I put my hair into a high ponytail and grab my stuff. I jog downstairs and wait for Bart to pick me up. I texted him earlier and he's giving me and Gar a ride. He pulls in the driveway a few minutes later, halting to a stop in front of the door.
"Let's go K!" Gar yells from the car. Rolling my eyes, I walk out and take a seat in the back of the car. I'm surprised by the cleanliness of it. Nothing is on the floors, in fact, they're clean of all dirt and grime. An air freshener is at the front. Its clipped onto the passenger seat visor and fills the car with a lavender scent that makes me feel like I'm laying in a filed of flowers. The seats are spot free and there's no junk in the pockets on the back of the seats.
I speak up about my shock of the state of Bart's vehicle. "This is one of the cleanest cars I've seen," I voice.
"I pride myself on my neatness," Bart says proudly. "And my parents would kill me if I trashed the new car," he adds darkly.
We arrive at the phone booth after a lot of confusion and missed turns. My directional skills were lacking and I ended up getting us lost more than one time. Thankfully though, Bart gave us a lot of extra time to spare and we arrived at the Hydrobase right on time. Everyone else is already there in their workout clothing. Dick appears from the hallway, phone against his ear. He pushes it away.
"Start with some stretches," Dick instructs, before pressing the phone back to his ear and walking down the hall. We make a small, scattered circle and start our warmup routines. Rachel reaches to touch her toes beside me.
"You gonna tell everyone else?" She questions quietly.
I bend over and press my hands to the ground in front of me. "I guess nows the best time," I whisper back. Collapsing onto the ground and continuing my stretches, I speak louder to the group. "So, I'm gonna be away for the next few weeks." Everyone's gaze turns to me, waiting for my explanation. "I'm staying with my mom for a bit," I announce.
"With your mom?" Damian blurts, obviously shocked. I nod in confirmation. He doesn't say anything else, but I can tell he wants to say more. I shift into another stretch and wait for the others reactions.
"That's awesome K," Jon declares with a smile. Gar and Bart mutter their agreements, adding things like "they'll miss me." It was mostly the reactions I was expecting, but Damian's was not that. I know things have been weird lately, however I expected him to be supportive and understanding. Instead of focusing on Damian I do my best to bathe in the support of Jon, Gar, and Bart.
