___________________________I felt my breath hitch in my throat, dropping the phone on the ground. I needed to do something - and quick. How did Jason know where I was? Fuck. He probably tracked my phone. God, I'm such an idiot. But better yet, how did he manage to save his name as brother in my phone? He was smart and I shouldn't of underestimated him.
Tying my hair up, I quickly grabbed my bag, placing it over my shoulder. I then left my phone on the ground and started running in another direction. I felt the gun in my bag, reminding myself that it was okay to use it.
I felt the branches brushing against me, the leaves brushing against my face as I continued running, trying to get a bigger lead on Jason. He knew where I was and I couldn't let him find me.I felt the cold wind against my skin as I found myself on a road. No cars. No people.
There was just a light to brighten the area that the night had taken over.
Where the fuck was I?
I wanted to just lay down on the ground, crawl into a ball and disappear. There was no way I could get home. I knew I'd gotten far from where Jason's house was located, that was a plus for me. The negative was that everywhere I went looked the same.
A unusual sound filled my ears, making my heart stop.
I looked around myself, there was no one or nothing there.
Then I heard the sound again, almost like the sound of shoes crunching sticks.
I didn't even look behind me, I just continued running for my life because I knew that someone was there. I continued across the road, entering the forest that seemed to lead on forever.
I could fell the person running behind me but I didn't dare look back. I began to panic, whimpers escaping my mouth as I ran past another tree.
There were endless amount of trees -- the moon was lighting up the whole forest and if I wasn't running from someone, I would've thought it was beautiful. However, that was not the case.
I couldn't hear anyone behind me anymore and I stopped, catching my breath as I looked around. There was no one and now I was really frightened. I found another row of trees that looked like they would hide me well. I started running - once again - while looking behind me.
I then bumped into something hard when I turned around. Two hands grabbing my waist and I knew who they belonged too. I let out a bloodcurdling scream, trying to get out of his strong grip, whimpers escaping my mouth.
He wrapped his arms around my throat, cutting my ability to breath as he pushed me up against the tree and my eyes widened. I couldn't breath.
And there I was faced to face with Jason, his hands stopping me from breathing.
"Did you really think you could escape, again, Ariana?" He asked, his eyes filled with darkness, as I tried pulling his hand off my throat.
I'd never seen his eyes so dark - so filled with anger and it scared me.
I tried pushing him off me too, but that was useless. I wasn't going to give up though, I was tired of being pathetic and useless. I wasn't going down without a fight in other words. I was sick of excepting things to fall in my hands. I had to do it myself.
"You're such a fucking idiot." He spat, pushing me against the tree harder. I could feel my throat tightening and I started grabbing for my bad. I managed to unzip it slightly, not letting my eyes leave Jason's.
