"Jane? What are you doing here?" His father asked that made us look at Jane.
Jane who is standing near the couch frozed because of the stares she's receiving.
"You know her?" I asked pointing at her.
"Jane is Kongpob's bestfriend." Kongpob's father answered.
Bestfriend? He never told me she is his bestfriend.
"By the way. You guys can go home now and take some rest since today has been so stressful. Me and his mom will take care of him." His father announced.
Our friends bid goodbye and left the hospital, leaving me inside Kongpob's hospital room.
I was about to say goodbye and leave but his father call my name.
"Yes, dad?"
"The nurse gave me his things earlier. Can you take care of it for Kongpob? Since you two are living in the same apartment." He gave me Kongpob's things like wallet and phone.
"Okay, dad. Then... i'll go now."
He nodded and said 'thank you' before i leave.
I went straight to our apartment and when i arrived i throw myself at the bed and stare at the ceiling.
What's happening to us? Is destiny trying to make a way to pull us apart? It's crazy that before, Kongpob is the one who's always chasing me. But now i'm the one chasing him. I just want him to come back and be normal again.
I put his wallet and his phone on the bedside table but something dropped from the wallet. I pick it up and it made me smile. It's our picture. It was our anniversary picture years ago when i sing and played the guitar for him.
I stare at the picture for a few minutes let out a deep sigh before putting it on the bedside table and turn off the lights. I lay back down the bed and try to sleep without him beside me.
The Next Day
A
fter my work i went straight to the hospital to visit Kongpob. When i arrived i saw his mom sitting on the chair beside Kongpob's hospital bed.
"Oh Arthit, are you here to visit Kongpob?" She asked when she noticed me at the door.
"Yes, mom. If that's okay."
"Of course it's okay. You're my son's boyfriend, right? And you are already a part of our family." She said while smiling at me.
"Thank you, mom."
"Oh. Since you're already here. Can you take care of Kongpob while i go home? I need to fix some work at home."
"Sure, mom. I'll take care of Kongpob."
"Okay. Then i'll go now, okay?"
I nodded before she left the room. I put the iced coffee that i bought earlier at the table near the couch and sit at chair beside Kongpob's bed while sipping my pink milk.
I let out a deep sigh while staring at his face. I'm sorry Kongpob. I'm sorry that you have to go in this situation.
If only i can command him to wake up now and there. It's crazy that before, Kongpob was the one who's always waking me up every morning, but now it's me but difference is he couldn't wake up.
While sipping my pink milk the door suddenly open and it reveal Jane with a iced coffee in her hand.
"Can i come in?"
I nodded since she already entered the room. She put the iced coffee beside the one i bought earlier.
"Oh. You already bought him one?"
"Yes.. but you can put yours there and i'll just take mine."
"No. It's okay. I'm sure he likes yours more." She said while smiling.
"Um... are you here to check on Kongpob? I can leave you with him if you want." I was about to leave when she called me.
"It's okay. You can stay here. And since i don't have someone to talk to. Can you talk with me?"
