Alex's P.O.V

I came out of my bedroom and walked into the kitchen. Blake was sitting at the bar staring into her coffee. I walked past her and looked out the window.

"Beautiful day," I said.

"Now watch some idiot screw it up," Blake chimed in.

"Someone's in a lovely mood," I replied turning to her.

"Oh shut up Al," she shot back returning her attention to her cup. I walked to the refrigerator and opened the door.

"So let me guess Mr. Smirk is the reason you woke up this morning," she half asked.

"Well 90 percent of the time," I answered picking out a bowl of fruit.

"And the other 10 percent?" she asked.

"I had to pee," I replied taking my food to the counter facing her. She leaned forward laughing as did I. We were soon looking at each other trying to catch our breath when Blake's smile faded.

"They called this morning," Blake said turning her attention to the wall.

"What did you say?" I asked finding the counter very interesting.

"I covered for you but," She shook her head, "I can't do this Al."

"Bee listen," I started turning my attention to her.

"No Al you listen. I can't sit around lying to our parents. I'm not like you I can't lie and not feel like I'm betraying my family." She said looking straight into my eyes.

"I know that's why I didn't invite you Bee. Remember you invited yourself," I replied trying to stay calm.

"No you didn't invite me because you don't because you hate relying on people. The only person you want to rely on is yourself." She yelled back.

"Yea well myself is the only one I can rely on!" I yelled back. I saw hurt flash in her eyes as she stood up.

"Fine Alex, do it all of yourself." She said her voice dropping low as she started to leave.

"Good I don't need you!" I yelled at her back.

"Congratulations Alex, You are a Waters," and with that she left slamming the door.

Blake P.O.V

"I can't believe Alex. 'Myself is the only one I can rely on.' I have been keeping all her precious secrets as for as long  as I can remember but does she think about that? Nope just herself. I mean I'm not even good at lying but I do for her." I muttered to my self.

"Blake you know she didn't mean it like that. She was just being Alex, you know that." My inner good voice said. I nodded at myself made a good point.

"She at least could have apologized," My inner bad voice chimed in.

"Yea and she might have if you gave her time," the good voice argued. I shook my head getting rid of my thoughts. I felt in my short's pocketsonly to find my phone left on the kitchen counter. I looked at the door considering going back in. That idea was shattered when Alex and I's fight came back in my mind. I shook my head and walked in the elevator ready for the doors to close.

"Hold the elevator please!" I heard a guy yell for some reason I did.

"Thanks," the guy said stepping in. I glanced at him. He was one of Mr. Smirk's friends. I looked at him closer. He had sun kissed brown hair. He was wearing swimming trunks and a white tank top both showing off his beach bum tan. At this moment he noticed me staring and smiled.

"I'm Justin," he said sticking out a perfectly muscled arm.

"Blake," I muttered looking into his mesmerizing blue eyes. They were warm, fun-filled eyes but they were colored like ice. I snapped out of my trance.

"Blake," I repeated with more confidence. I put on my best white teethed smiled shaking his hand.

"Hey you're that girl that flipped Seb in that hole," he said looking almost mad. I pulled back my hand laughing nervously.

"Yea" I replied sheepishly. He cracked a smile.

"Good one!" He complimented laughing.

"Yea well I try," I said smiling my flirting smile. I felt his eyes look up and down my body. His face turned confused.

"Why do you wear a long sleeved shirt, shorts, and boots to the beach?" he asked.

"Number one they're Uggs," I said showing off my boots, "and second they're different, like me."

"I agree. You and your friend are the two oddest girls I have ever met," he replied.

"Good because you see the odd people of the world have more fun," I smirked.

"Well you think you could teach me?" he asked moving a step closer.

"I don't know. You don't seem like the type of guy who could keep up with me," I said moving so our faces were only inches apart.

"We'll see," he replied leaning down.

"We will," I said as the doors opened and I walked out. I looked behind me to see Justin following me. We'll see
