You looked out of the window of your carriage, watching as you steadily passed a gorgeous array of trees. You were there with your family's company advisor, Madam Pontello. You could feel her gaze, just silently studying you. You looked over at her and she said "Nervous?" "Sort of." You replied. Recently, you took a month and a half long boat trip to a country you've never been (actually, before this you never left America.) and now your here to meet the Earl of Phantomhive. You imagined him to be tall and old, with thinning grey hair and missing teeth. You were absolutely not looking forward to this. You returned your gaze to the window, just in time to see the manor in all of its glory. Hedges and trees graced the property, a large stately home, which looks worn by age. "Quite a large estate." You remarked. "Yes, the Phantomhive manor has always been prided on its appearance." Pontello said. You finally arrived, being greated by a tall, slim, raven-haired man. "I'm Sebastian, the butler of Phantomhive manor." He said, helping you off of the carriage and escorting you into the manor. You were lead to a large sun room, with two deep emerald couches and a carved table. There was a boy, around your age sitting on one of the couches. He wore a stoic expression  and an eyepatch. "Have a seat." Sebastian instructed. You & Madam Pontello sat next to each other on the couch across from the boy. "Good afternoon. Madam Pontello I presume? I'm Ciel, the Earl of Phantomhive." He said, extending his hand out for her to shake. Wait HES the Earl? You thought, bewildered. Never in your 13 years of life would you expect the great Earl of Phantomhive to be him. "And you?" He asked, gesturing towards you. "[y/n] [l/n]" you said politely. "Daughter of Edger [l/n] I presume?" He asked, shaking my hand. "Yes." You confirmed. He turned back to Madam Pontello, and started discussing the details of the agreement. You began studying the room. It had 3 large windows parallel to the door. The frames were made from presumably a fine brass, with deep green muslin curtains, Held back by black ribbon. There was a fire place, with a ship in a bottle gracing the mantel. Above hung a oval shaped painting of a tree. There was a black carpet underneath. Your focused returned just as their conversation closed. "Madam Pontello, would you mind waiting outside so I could converse with [y/n] alone?" He asked. She excused herself from the sunroom, and he returned to you. "So I understand the current agreement is for you to stay as a guest in my manor for 6 months, after which you will decide to stay somewhere in England, or go back to Virginia." He said. "Yes." You confirmed. "Tell me about America." He said, derailing the whole conversation. "Well, where I grew up there was a vast countryside with wild horses and raspberry bushes. But we would often go into the city, which is packed with people going to and from places, leaving and entering buildings." You said. "Tell me what you look forward to living in this manor." He instructed. "Well I wasn't told much. I guess a change of pace is nice though?" You said. "Is their anything you'd like to know?" He asked. "What kind of flowers do you grow?" You said, quickly glancing out the large windows. "Peonies, irises, spider lilies, fox gloves, chrysanthemums, and white roses." You looked back at him. White roses? "One of those catch your attention?" He asked, almost smirking. "Well I've read of white roses in books, but I've never actually seen them." You said. "Then I will take you to see them after tea." He decided. "Really?" You asked, trying to hide your excitement. "Yes. You're my guest, and white roses are quite enjoyable." He said. "Thank you." Was all you could say. "Now, anymore questions?" He asked. "Yes. Is their a specific time for breakfast every morning?" You asked. "Sebastian wakes me up at 7, breakfast is served at 7:30. Do we need to change that?" Ciel asked. "No. That will work for me." You said. "Good. I believe you should say farewell to Madam Pontello, then meet the servants?" He said. "Yes." You said, both of you standing and leaving. After saying a cold goodbye to Madam Pontello, who quickly left, you were introduced to Mey-Rin, Bard, Finny, & Tanaka. Sebastian showed you your room. "Would you like any changes made to it?" Sebastian asked. "No, this is fine." You said, not wanting to ask too much of them. "We could make your curtains silk instead." He remarked. "That would be to posh, I don't need that much." You said. "Well the rest of the bedrooms have silk curtains." He said. You gave in. "Fine, if you are not too busy, I would enjoy some silk curtains." You said. "Also, a thicker blanket, I do get quite cold at night." You said. "Yes m'lady." He said. You were brought downstairs for tea in the parlor. "I hope you enjoy lady grey." Sebastian said, pouring the tea for you and Ciel. "Yes. The only tea I dislike is the berry teas, they are all much too concentrated." You said, sipping the lady grey. "I must agree." Ciel said.

After tea, he escorted you to a large patch of pearly white roses. "They smell remarkable." You said, taking in the air. "Feel free to pick as many as you want." He said. You picked one and put it in your hair. "Thank you." You said. After silently strolling through the garden just a bit longer, the sun had finally set and you decided to retire. You changed into your night gown and laid into your soft bed. It was sooooo comfortable, you fell asleep immediately.
