You've been spending the first two weeks in the Manor by reading in the sun room or walking through the garden. Otherwise the staff seemed to keep you entertained. Every once in awhile you'd have a lengthy conversation with Ciel. You think he might enjoy having someone of his age to have an intelligent conversation with. Once you were observing nature in the sun room when he asked. "Who's your favorite painter?" "I like Georges Seurat's garden paintings. They're so lively, full of greenery and faces." You said. 4 days later there was a new painting, a work that looked very similar if not a work of Georges Seurat, hanging in the hallway of the west wing.

You were sewing in the parlor (a hobby you were taught at age 7) when Ciel walks in. "Today we will be having a guest over. He's an Italian man and he manages the East Indian factory." Ciel said. "Okay, I'll stay out of the way tonight." You said. "No. I have a feeling my conversation with him will be dull and circular. I would like you to join me for dinner, at least." He said. "I have no issue with that." you said looking up at him and smiling, as is polite. You stayed up in the parlor, finishing the hemming of a walking skirt you wanted to wear before springtime ended. Then Sebastian called you down for dinner. You were escorted outside. The grass was now gravel, assorted almost to look like reverberating water. We started eating when Mey-Rin was instructed to pour wine, which she failed to do. Sebastian pulled a nest tablecloth trick, which made you smile. "You always do astonish me Sebastian." You said. "I am simply one hell of a butler." He replied. After dinner, Ciel instructed you to follow him up to the second floor parlor room. You dimly talked, before a sharp "Mamma Mia!" Echoed throughout the estate. "What an unattractive scream. Sounds like a pig getting ready to slaughter." Ciel said, almost smirking. "What did you do to him?" You asked, almost wide eyed. "He sold the factory without telling me, and on top of that asked me for more money. It was really his paranoia that hurt him." Ciel remarked. "You bewilder me, Ciel Phantomhive." You said. "Do you want to play chess?" You said with a quizzical smile. You spent the next hour talking and having a relaxed game of chess. It was cut short by Sebastian instructing that the Earl should get some rest. You stated the both of you would finish the game tomorrow, then both retired. The next morning you woke up and put on your new skirt. The fabric was a very light blue, paired with a white blouse. Mey-Rin graciously complimented you, and Finny would blush every time you talked to him. Around noon you went to Ciel's study. "Who is it?" He asked. "[y/n]." You said in your gently American accent, which was turning more Trans-Atlantic by the day. "Come in." Ciel said. "I hope your willing to take a break from your work to finish that lovely chess game, it's been in the back of my mind all day." You said. He just smiled and said. "I could use a break anyways." You both walked to the room and continued your game. But today Ciel was very silent, almost like he was stressed about something. "Are you worried about something?" You asked an a gentle & concerned tone. "Just work." He said. "Can I know about it?" You asked. "There's a new drug trafficker in London, and as the queens guard dog it's my job to stop it." He said. "Sounds like a tough and tedious task." You said. "Checkmate." He remarked.
