Kaci's POV:
"Do you have anything to wear ?" India asks me, "eh, it's won't meet your standards" I say, she starts laughing.
"Well I can always let you borrow something."
"I don't know."
"Well your definitely not going with me looking like a bum."
"Uh, India" I say.
"What ? I want you to look nice. Besides, it's gonna be so many seniors and college guys there. You have to make a good impression.".
Her telling me all of this makes me second guess if I should even go, especially with my clothes. I don't want to look like an outcast and I also don't want to be judged while I'm there.
"Should we even go ?" I ask.
"Yeah ! we should." It was an awkward silence then she broke it, "Look, you'll be fine and you're gonna look fine also. I'll make sure of that, don't sike yourself out.".
"Okay" I say.

Jace's POV:
"Jace !!" Jacob yell's from upstairs, "What ?" "I need you to go get some ice and beers from the store."
"Bro what ? We have beer here" "Barely because Nathan's dumbass drunk most of it." I roll my eyes but remember from earlier, Nathan was getting a bit messed up.
"I need ice too." Jacob says.
"Bet."
"Be back within 15 minutes, party starts in an hour and we don't even have half of everything together."
"Alright, I got it." I say.
I get going but I still can't get Ashlyn off my mind, I know we're over but I just wanted things to workout with her. Shit happens so unexpectedly, crazy how things change within a year. We were fine 6 months ago and now we don't even talk. I'll be good though. I always turn out good in the end.
* Incoming call "Travis 💪🏻" * "hello ?" I say into the phone.
"What's up Jay." Travis asks.
"Nothing much on my way to the store."
"Well I have a surprise for you tonight"
"What's that ? " I laugh.
"I invited my sister and her friend to the party tonight." he says.
"You're telling me this why ?"
"Maybe I want you to get your mind off of Ashlyn." I don't say anything after that, I know I have to move on from Ashlyn but I just don't feel attracted to anyone else.
"I hear you." I say.
"I promise you'll like her, I wouldn't set you up with someone that wouldn't bring you any good."
"Didn't you and Jacob say that about Ashlyn ?" I ask, and he didn't say anything.
"She's different Jay, I know Ashlyn was a mistake but I feel like she'll change you."
"We'll see." I say. *phone clicks*
