𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐇 𝐌𝐄𝐍 𝐈𝐍 kentrell's living room. It had been 2 hours since mack gave kentrell instructions for him to ship his product back to him. It was almost like you can see steam radiating from mack's body he was so upset. kentrell over looked the situation knowing that there was a bigger one upstairs.

"i'm not gon ask again youn-"

"so don't , say you know me i buss my ass to get shit done around here if it wasn't for me you wouldn't have this so called system running. give me a few days and i'll get back to you , on boo". kentrell spoke

"3 days yb , just because i like you don't mean i won't kill you so don't get so comfortable. if i find out you taking from me and mines that's yo head you hear me ?" mack said

"see you in 3 days nigga"
kentrell said in a low tone

kentrell showed mack the way out letting out a breath as he rubbed his forehead. he went upstairs into his room to find a now awake joe.

"i didn't mean to get you into any trouble" joe mumbled

"i handled it , now go back to sleep it's late" kentrell said

"desean don't be like that , i didn't tell you all of this for a reason".

"i'm not mad. i'm just disappointed. how could you be that dumb joe i expect this shit from everyone else but you. you see your friend die from drugs and you gon take the same path ? why didn't you call me ? why didn't you call anyone ? what if i wasn't able to get out of the situation you just put me in ? you gotta think about shit like that joe. i swea you can be so fucking stupid bruh". kentrell said with a slight attitude

joe was now sitting across the room taking in kentrell's words with his head low and tears at the brim of his eyes. He toyed with the drawstring on his hoodie to distract him from crying.  kentrell looked back at joe for a response and went into comfort mode immediately after seeing how his words took a toll on joe.

"hey i ain't mean it like that joe" kentrell whispered pulling a now sobbing joe into a hug.

as much as kentrell denied it he knew that he had a soft spot for joe and seeing him cry made his heart ache.

"you one of the smartest people i know joe and you deserve so much more in life. i know you like the back of my hand i know how much of a people pleaser you are , and how you go out your way to make sure that everyone is straight but when you gonna let me make sure you good. you have to speak to me love , that's the only way i can know how to help you. i'm sorry for what i said earlier but you know that i'm saying it out of love." kentrell spoke in calming tone as he wiped the boy's tears.

joe flashed a small smile towards kentrell making the older pull him into a hug

"i'm starving , i don't know if it was the crying or the coke that got me this hungry" joe said seriously

kentrell straight faced him

"too soon ?" joe said busting out into a laughing fit

kentrell couldn't help but laugh at the youngers silliness as he scrolled through the uber eats app
