IRENE

I sigh looking at the long queue of passengers waiting for the cruise. The weather was starting to get gloomy, and people are getting impatient because of the delay. The dark blue sky and cold breeze made some of the passengers sleepy and hungry (that's me).

I take a glance again at my boarding pass, feeling a bit lucky I was able to fall in line early. I look around and get excited when I hear them calling for the boarding of passengers.

"Excuse me, miss. Your boarding pass, please?" The attendant asks. I happily oblige and listen to his instructions before leaving to find my room.

The cruise ship is beyond majestic. You couldn't tell it was a ship from the inside, it looks like a gigantic department store. I can already feel the satisfaction of this trip, and it hasn't even started yet. Thank heavens i didn't cancel my tickets. My eyes are starting to get thirsty for more adventure.

After a series of wrong turns and dead ends, i finally found my room.

What kind of alternative universe is this?

Looks like my plan of unpacking quickly so i can roam around will be put on hold. What kind of eye popping scenario is this? A young man with gray hair, in a V-neck Gucci paired with skinny leather pants and a pair of black timberland boots is on my bed. I don't know how I manage to scan him from head to toe in a split second but he looks so surreal I almost forgot how to breathe. He was unpacking his stuff, which was all over the place.

He looks hot ngl but that's my bed.

"Yes? May i help you?" He asks when he finally sees me clearly shookt by the door.

"I'm sorry, but this is...my room." I reply, casually sliding my suitcase in. I don't want to appear intimidated, i am not. I don't have any other excuses too, it really is my room.

"That can't be. It's my room." He scratches his head and retrieves his boarding pass from the table. We compared our boarding passes and showed them to the staff. My long night then started with an apology from the management, a trial and error search for other vacant rooms and ended with "I'm sorry, we're fully booked."

Great. A one week European escapade with a stranger.

"I'm sorry it turned out this way, don't worry... I'll be a good roommate." He smiles... and extends his hand.

And damn.

That boxy smile.

"I'm Taehyung." He smiles apologetically. Is it normal to feel a sense of warmth towards a stranger you just met?

"Irene. And I snore a lot." I take his hand before it gets awkward and let go before it gets more awkward. I bite my lip as i turn away, tossing my sling bag at the vacant bed.

"I don't mind. Girls who snore are interesting." He comments.

"Well boys who own lots of Gucci are interesting too." I reply while eyeing all the branded stuff sprawled over his bed. "Well at least we're both Koreans." I say, finally smiling back.

"I think it'll be a great vacation." His smile reached his eyes, stirring something inside of me.

"I...I think so too."

We're sailing.
