note: perrie's older than jade in this book. jade starts out 17 and perries about 2 years older than her in this book. so perrie's about 19. c: hope you like it.

"I'm really going to miss you Jade," My best friend Leigh-Anne said to me, "Don't you dare go make new friends and forget about me."

"Leigh, I could never forget about you. They'll probably find me weird and awkward and avoid me."

"Don't be crazy Jade. You're beautiful. No girlfriends until I approve," She grinned at me, "I approve the girlfriends, otherwise you're friends."

"Jade, C'mon we have to go." My Mom yelled at me from the car.

"Got my number?"

"It's in my contacts."

"I'll email you it anyways!"

"Love you Leigh-Anne," I whispered in her ear, "Don't make babies with Jordan while I'm gone"

"Jade you naughty weirdo. We're just friends," I rolled my eyes at her before walking to my car, "Call me when you get there!."

"That'll be the first thing i do!"

-

"Jade," My mom said looking in the rear-view mirror at me, "What do you want for lunch?"

"I was thinking McDonalds. Is there any around here?" I asked looking back at my phone from the multiple messages from Leigh-Anne.

"Yeah. The road we get off on"

I sighed as my phone flashed again saying that my phone was close to being dead. I leaned my head against the window and closed my eyes. I had no idea where we going, my Mom said it would be a surprise but that most likely means she knows I would resist against it and not want to go. not that I had much say in this. I closed my eyes and hoped my Mom meant a good surprise, and not something that scares me.

"What do you want?"

"Nuggets and Fries with Coke." I would've gotten a hamburger but I didn't feel up to it.

-

"We're here."

I looked out the window. My Mom had pulled into the driveway of a large house. Why she had chosen a big house for just the two of us was beyond me.

"C'mon Jade, The movers will be here in a minute."

I slipped out my phone from my pocket and unlocking it. I clicked on Leigh-Anne's contact name and called her.

"Hello." She answered after the third ring.

"I'm here."

"So what does it look like?" There was a faint sound of crinkling so I presumed that she was eating chips.

"It's big," I said, Looking over the house.

"There's only two of you?"

"Yeah. My phones about to die so I'll call you later ok?"

"Okay. Bye Jadey."

"Bye Leigh."

I couldn't help but feel as if I was being watched. It made me uncomfortable, but then again how wouldn't it? I hoped it was just some curious kid that lived next door or something.

I sat in my bedroom as the moving people placed boxes in rooms. Luckily we wrote where each one went to. The moving people said they'd help us with our beds. I had no idea why, we got them down we can put it back up.
