Who knew that telling someone that you didn't have a gun would result in getting shot at, because i sure didn't.
As soon at the first gunshot went off i knew i was in trouble. Maybe bringing my friends along wasn't the best idea.
"I will ask again. Do you have a gun on you?" A tough looking guard in a black suit held a gun up. I would've been scared if i did not have two armed girls behind me.
"If i had a gun wouldn't you see it?" I raised my chin haughtily as my brown eyes rested on the guard's finger.
His hand lowered for a fraction of a second. That was all the time i needed. My hands shot to my gun, which i hid in my purse. BANG! A shot sounded and the man collapsed forwards, blood exploding onto the crate on which he stood. He forgot the gun and clutched his now useless knee.
"Well, you are not the sharpest tool in the shed, huh?" My voice was venomous and taunting as i stared the man down. A quick nod to my friends, and a gun pointed at him now.
"So, tell me, where is the vault? I don't have all day." My red hair flowed over my shoulders as, to add insult to injury, i knelt down to be his height.
"You'll never know!" He hissed. BANG! I barely had time to back away as he fell forward, a hole in his head. Sidestepping the steadily growing pool, i nodded to my group.
"Check the walls, and keep an eye out for other guards." I instructed. They nodded.
I traveled over to the far right side of the large metal room. Other than a few crates, i saw nothing. I did, however, hear our best spy enter a vent. I ducked down, knowing someone was now in the room with us. a few seconds later, and a strangled shout escaped the man. I looked up to see him wriggling as he attempted to free himself of the tight grip of the noose, which was our spy's favorite weapon. I smiled at him as he lost breath. Tonight was going well after all. I would finally have all the money i could ever wish for, and my gang could recede back into the depths of uncertainty and unease that rest upon anyone who dared whisper our names.
A shot brought me out of my thoughts as the spy's blood splattered onto the wall above me. Bits of skull slid down the mess, and i ducked into cover as i hear another. BANG
I leaned out of my hiding spot and shot at the guard, who ended up with his throat outside of his body.
More shots ensued, though i was swiftly brought down as something heavy knocked my skull.
I woke up with my last teammate beside me in a heap of bullet wounds and with my arms secured around a chair. I looked at the guards surrounding me. All boys. Perfect.
"You there, handsome fellow, get me your boss, please." My voice was smooth as honey and my face was lined with genuine smiles. In a room full of boys, i was easily the Queen.
"Wont have to Miss, he is comin'." As much as the man hid it, i could tell his heart was skipping. I smiled "Thank you."
A few seconds later and the fiddling with the zip tie around my wrists was successful. At any moment, i could release myself and execute every last one of the people in the room. The door opened.
"Hello Patty. Nice to see you again." A tall man with styled brown hair and sea green eyes entered. Sirrus. The leader of my enemy who used to be my friend.
"Pleasure as always." I responded. Years of fighting drove a bitter wall between us, but i was glad. It would be a lot easier to kill him like this. The zip tie fell off my hand and i braced myself to grab a gun.
"Why are you back?" Sirrus stared down at me.
"Oh, you know, just trying to get whats mine. The usual." I responded, meeting his gaze.
"Funny. You think you deserve the world, don't you?" His deep voice rumbled against the thunder and rain that battered the windows of the room.
"I want whats mine. I am fine with the world being in your palms, Serious." It pained me a little to call him his nickname, but hopefully it would hurt him more.
"If only it was yours. Tell me, do you think we didn't notice the fact you would unbind yourself?" Sirrus's gaze remained still. BANG!
I fell forward as a bullet hit my stomach from behind. I grunted and hauled myself forward to look up at Sirrus. "Didn't thi-think, this was how it wou-would end." It was true. I expected my last dying moments to be peaceful.
"I am sorry Patty, truly, but i am afraid you have muttered your last lie."
My vision blurred and blinding spots burst out onto my vision. I managed to somehow grab a gun, and pointed it at Sirrus.
"Can't wait to see you in Hell." I yelled. I could barely hear myself over the blood pounding in my ears. BANG!
I shot true, and Sirrus fell down with me. I smiled. Even in my last moments, i was still the victor.
