Soleil
The sun was almost at its highest peak as we sat in the middle of the vast circle of our training field. The Dwarf forest around us was silent as the binds between the non living and the living open. Damira, breathing heavy as her eyes shut closed before me in our little bubble.
Dia's voice became a silent thrum as I felt my soul rattle in its place as Damira tries to tug on the anchor we are throwing at her. But her efforts are in vain. Each time she wishes to grab a hold onto that one string, it slips through her fingers. Her mind... is too far blocked. Her heart still in its icy cage.
Biting my lip from exhaustion, I snap the wall of our souls shut, watching Damira sigh in defeat. "Fuck!" Her cry of frustration is filled with so many emotions, tears are brimming openly. "I'm so sorry, Soleil."
"It isn't your fault, babe." I coo, crawling to her side and sweeping the luminous dark hair away from her sweaty forehead.
"Technically," Dia's annoying voice rattles our small moment. "It is. Damira, you haven't entirely given your heart and soul to your mate. That is why you cannot grasp that bond strongly with Soleil. Your heart is still frozen." I try not to frown at the truth behind her words, looking away from Damira. I know what I had said. I would wait but what if this pressure gets too much and everything fails.
I shouldn't be a hypocrite. Damira has probably gone over and over in her head of any and every possibility. She just needs time... but we only have 5 days left. I'm worried. For her. For my pack.
"I know." Damira whispers, grunting to sit up on her knees. The weight on her shoulders dragging her down slightly. I've seen glimpse of her thoughts as she sleeps, the thoughts become so erratic, I wish to erase them. But I can't because it's Damira's choice to soak it all in or let it all out.
"Why don't we take a bit of a break? Hmm?" I suggest softly, taking her by the hand and giving her a reassuring squeeze. She nods dumbly, her eyes fighting the shadows of her erratic and pressured thoughts. She's thinking again. Worrying.
I don't wait for Dia's approval and tug Damira up and onto a slow walk into the forest. I could sense a body of water nearby, the sound of water crashing against rocks. The silver of water not too far away for a little resting spot. Damira is silent beside me, her wolf silent.
"Do you remember how much we use to argue Damira? Honestly, you drove me crazy." I recall the memories of Damira taunting me and flaunting her dominance everywhere she would go. I remember when she had given me furs to wear instead of actual clothes. I wore them nonetheless.
A small smile tugs up at her lips, eyes twinkling with memories. "I know. You were just a little spitfire. I'm glad I had a change of heart because I've now truly found true love." My heart warms as we come to a stop, Damira smiling wide down at me. Her confessions never get old.
"Me too." I admit before turning to the beautiful little body of water. The crystal clear water inviting. I turn to Damira, wiggling my eyebrows. "Wanna go for a swim?"
"What? Like right now?" She asks, eyes wide in reluctance. I pout playfully, pulling on her arms slightly.
"Why not? It'll be fun!" Without much thought, I strip from my clothes, leaving the undergarments' on before running over to the edge of the water and dipping in with an excited yelp. The cool water is soothing against my heated skin and feels absolutely nice through my hair. Coming up for air, Damira still stands a bit away, jaw slack. "Hi baby! You coming in? That water is great!"
She shakes her head, grinning. Her clothes easy to take off, she ran over and jumped in. I expected her to pop up with a Woo Hoo however her familiar and sneaky hands glided up my naked leg, her lips brushing my belly.
"Mira..." I whine, biting my lip as I find her grinning up at me under the water. Her sensual hands hand taken a liking to caressing the inside of my thigh as her head bobbed up. "You are teasing."
Damira, ever so the flirt, chuckles deeply and comes up to peck my lips. She doesn't linger long, moving down my jaw into the crook of my neck. I could feel her fingers itching closer to the burning cavern of desire, so badly wanting her to touch the bundle of nerves. "Too bad we aren't here in private, Soleil." She whispers darkly, the husky sound of her voice rattling the pool of desire in my belly to increase.
"Too bad huh?" I barley whisper out, those treacherous fingers of hers brushing so softly at the place I so badly want her. "M-Maybe next ti-" I cry out softly as her teeth gently bite against my neck, her knee moving my own apart for her hand to move. The pressure now against me, causing my skin to heat up.
"I want you so badly, Soleil," she nips my neck one last time before pulling away. Leaving my heated self in the bubble of sex and desire. She grins at me, swimming around me as if she finds my state amusing. I scowl, splashing water at her.
"Next time, missy. Next time." She laughs, the sound melodious to my ears, warming my heart.
"I'll keep to that then, darling." I roll my eyes, dipping under the cool water, finding Mira doing the same. We watch each other silently, our emotions soothing over the current. Her eyes are sparkling, the worry from before long gone. Her heart calm and open. Almost vulnerable.
Damira my mate is strong yet, I wish she would let me hold some of that burden she keeps locked up. With a gasp of air, we embrace each other, my ear against her rapid beating heart as we breathe air into our lungs.
"Should we try again, Mira?" I ask softly, caressing her skin, loving how soft it feels. My magic is silent under my own. Damira hums, kissing the crown of my head.
"Okay. Lets try again." Damira and I share a smile, watching the scene around us before heading back to our clothes. Never straying far from each other, always keeping our skin together. Our bond tighter as we keep close.
Phew, didn't that get a little... hot. Hehe just a little tease for you.
I quite liked this chapter. We got to see them get intimidate. Yeah we see them kiss but this was different. Damira felt a little lighter this chapter. But that was me. I want to know your thoughts.
