"Hey grace are you almost ready to go? The trucks here." My mom asked me. "Yeah. I just have to grab my backpack." I said. "Ok. Oh and get your brother." She yelled up the stairs. My room is upstairs so she had to yell. I grabbed my backpack and walked across to my brothers room. I'm only 14. It's my freshman year. My brother Connor is a junior this year. He just turned 16. He is really protective of me. "Hey Connor the trucks here. Are you ready to go?" I asked him. He walked out of his room carrying his iPhone and his backpack. "Yeah. Let's go." he said. We walked down the stairs and then my mom stopped us at the door. "You guys are sure you have everything right?" she asked. Oh crap I forgot my phone. So I ran upstairs and grabbed it. "Now I do." I said. We walked outside and put the rest of our stuff in the truck. Then my brother ran over to the car and got in the passenger seat. I didn't really care though because then I could lay across the whole back. My mom had a Kia Sorento. Then off we went....
1 day and 3 hours later...
"Hey grace we're here." my mom said. I stretched and then sat up. When I looked out side the car it was snowing. I've never seen snow before since we lived in California. Now we are in Nebraska and it's cold! The rest of that day was pretty calm. Not much happened. We ate lunch and then few hours later dinner. I went to bed earlier because I had school the next day. My alarm started beeping and it felt like it was midnight. Nope. It's 6:30. I have to get up. I got up took my shower got dressed and then started to head downstairs. "Grace wake up your brother please." said my mom. My new house is so big! I walked over to my brothers room and said "Connor wake up." "Huh why?" he asked. "We have school." i answered. "Oh ok I'll be right down." he said. So I walked downstairs and say at the table for breakfast. We had waffles which are my favorite. When the bus came I grabbed my purse and backpack and rushed out the door. As I got on the bus the driver said "Hmm you must be the new kid." "Yep that's me." I said. I went to the back and sat down. That's when it all started......
