A Percy Jackson Fanfic: A New Age

I Have A Family For Once

I stare at the campfire in shock. Piper comes over and gives me a hug,

"Are you okay?" She asks, and I notice I have tears running down my cheeks, I smile,

"I have a family! I am never better! All my life I have dreamt about having one I now I do!" More tears stream down my cheeks, and I know everyone is star in at me in pity and sadness. Suddenly a strong pair of arms are around my body, and I look over to see Percy, he looks at me in the eyes,

"It is great to finally have a sybling! I promise I will be there for you! Sis!" He says and I cry. I get up and walk off not wanting to create a big commotion. I know that someone is following me but I walk to the edge of the woods,

"Lily! I wouldn't go in there without a weapon!" She says, I turn and I notice it is Annabeth. Her grey eyes are soft and welcoming and she comes over gives me a hug, but it isn't awkward, it is like a sisterly hug, and we just stand there until a horn sounds,

"I will take you to the Poseidon cabin. Come on!" She says and walks off with me following her.

As I walk into the cabin Percy is there and it looks like he has been waiting for me,

"Are you okay?" He asks, I just nod. I walk over to the bed opposite him and I just lie down.

"Thank you!" I say to him before drifting off into sleep.

My dream is different to normal, I'm in a past memory and a girl named Hannah sits down in front of me, we are talking and then the scene changes, Hannah swears, but I feel like someone has stuck a hot poker down my throat and everything goes black. My sister is trying to wake me up in the hospital bed, shaking my shoulder and asking me to wake up. Her voice changes to a deep male voice. It was never my sister, because she is dead. It was Percy. I sit up and look at him, his hair is damp and so are his pyjamas,

"When I was trying to wake you up, you seemed to get water to spray at me!" He says, but he is smiling.

"Sorry!" I say and I touch his arm absorbing the water into my skin.

"Come on! Hurry up and get changed or we are going to be late for breakfast!" He says just as my stomach made a loud rumbling noise.

At breakfast I still get pittying looks and it makes me feel weak! So I promise that by the end of the day I am going to not be the small weakling in the pack! I will be the strong one. I get up and I am about to leave when I bump into that boy from last night, he smiles at me and is about to say something, but I feel a great deal of anger towards him and I pinch him hard in the nose, he grunts and looks at me. The blood coming out from his nose seems to have gold fleck in it and is shiney. Before I can process what happens he punches me back, there is a loud cracking sound as my noes breaks. I hold it and click it back into place making a lot of people cringe. Before I can get another hit at him Chiron comes over and stands between us,

"Can you please not fight? Why don't you save that energy for sword practice?" He asks politely. I nod and so does the boy, I walk off and head back to my cabin.

As I walk to the arena I take out my sword. I don't know how I came across it but it seemed to kind of appear in my hands when I was in danger, and when I wasn't anymore it would sink into my hand. It was pretty disgusting but it was a really good sword. I walked into the arena and everyone had partnered up except the boy, 'oh hell no' I thought, I was not going to be his partner. Percy's stopped his fight with Jason and they both can over,

"You are going to be each others partners and you aren't going to kill each other! Otherwise you are going to be punished!" Percy says. I grunt at him and move into place.

"I think it is best that we introduce ourselves! I'm Dominic, and you must be Lily!" He says, I smirk at him,

"And we are meant to hate each other!" I say and attack. He takes offence but he doesn't have very many flaws. I look at him and he seems to freeze for a second before deffensing against me. He couldn't get any good attacks in as he clearly didn't do much sword fighting. I cleared my mind and I let my sword take over, withing in minutes I have knocked his sword out and I have my sword pointed at his kneck. Clapping sounds behind me and I turn to see the gods even hades standing there staring at me.

"Well posy. It seems your daughter has done well, however she gets distracted to easily" Zeus says. Before it had even happened I knew about it, and as Dominic tries to knock me over I feel a rush and do a somersault in the air and land on his hand, he screams in pain and I smirk.

"You were saying?" I ask Zeus. He looks shocked, and so does everyone else. I summon my sword to disappear into my hand and walk out the arena.
