"It's getting late. They'll be looking for us." The little light on my watch glowed so I got a glimpse at his pale face. "It's going to be ok." I assured him.

"Of course it will be." He said between short and quick breaths. He began to shake uncontrollably. He was hyperventilating. To calm him down, I gently placed my hand on his cheek. It was warm and pale, but he seemed to stop shaking. I began to feel more comfortable in the confined space, but Puck was still breathing sharply. I felt really bad for him.

"Puck, of all the people I'm stuck in a closet with, I'm glad it's you." I admitted. At first it was just supposed to calm him down again, but then I noticed I really thought that. "Sabrina, I- I.." I cut him off

"It's ok." He looked around the space and seemed to go even paler. I could see his white face in the dark. Then he locked eyes with me, and began to lean in. I leaned in as well, until our noses were touching. And then before anything could happen, the closet doors flew open. Standing there was my very shocked father. Almost immediately his shock was replaced with anger.

"Get out, you two." he said, and we rushed out of the small space. Picks breathing began to grow normal again and his face grew more coloured. My dad looked at me with disappointment.

"Go to the party." He demanded.

I rushed off towards the party, with Pick close at my heals.

"Sabrina, I'm really sorry. I-"

"It's ok, Puck. You did nothing wrong." I replied "Are you mad at me?" He asked sheepishly. "Not at you, Puck." It was true. I was angry at my dad for ruining what could've been special. It's my life, and I should choose what to do with it. We walked the rest of the way in silence.

When we got to the place where every one was, I was amazed. There were streamers hung from the high roof. Someone had finished the job Puck and I were supposed to do. We hurried to our friends: Red, Daphne, and Basil. Mom was there to, as well as Granny, Snow and Charming. They were all happily chatting away, and when we arrived at the group, Granny asked us, "leiblings, where have you been?"

My face went red, and so did Pucks.

"We had a minor setback." Was all I could come up with. "Well, none the less, your here now. Why not get something to eat. There plenty of normal food." She said with a wink directed at me. "Ok, thanks Granny." I dragged Puck towards the food table, though he was already on his way.  I grabbed a few small finger foods, and Puck grabbed a whole heap more. "Save some for the others." I said with a laugh. "Hey! Their loss!" He laughed, an I joined him. I could see Red and Daphne we spying on us, and hey were giggling to each other. This time, I didn't care. I checked the time. 11:50. The fireworks would go off soon. I hadn't seen them in many years, and I was looking forward to it. And apparently, so was Puck. He dragged me away from my meal, and outside.

"Hey! Where are we going?" I shouted.

He had an expression on his face, like a curious puppy. "What are you looking for?" He looked down sheepishly. I want to see these fireworks." "Well, your acting like you've never been fireworks before." I knew that wasn't true, because a while ago, when I had had my first kiss with him, the chimps around them set off. "I want to watch them with you. It's kind of embarrassing."

I blushed pink.

"Well then, let's find a good spot." I said as I took charge. I didn't like seeing him so uncomfortable. It made me uncomfortable.

We found a good spot not far from the mansion. There were already people setting out blankets and chairs for the event. I checked my watch. 11:57. It was so close. We sat there for a minute, until Puck spoke up. "In the closet, when we almost, you know, yea, I'm. Sorry if you felt uncomfortable, I just think I kind of, um, how to say this right." He began to scratch the back of his neck. I decided to help him out.

"Puck, I think I like you." And it was true.

He looked at me, then said, "I think I like you, too." Just then the first firework went off. We watched for a total of 5 minutes, then looked at each other. The fireworks kept going, but the look on Pucks face was the best view of all. He leaned in, but hesitated. "May I?" He asked.

I leaned in to close the gap, and out lips met. We stayed like that for 5 seconds, and then I pulled away.

"Does that answer your question?" I said with a smirk.

"Good enough."

Just then, giggles could be heard through the night. Daphne and Red ran out of their hiding spot, and began to sing "Sabrina and Puck, sitting in a tree, K-" "Shut-up!" Puck and I yelled in perfect sync. The girls giggled once more and ran off.

"Your dad won't approve." E said

"But I approve." I said then kissed him on the cheek.

The rest of the nigh was as clear as crystal. We watched the end of the fireworks, and after all of the commotion, only Mom and Granny had been told about Pucks and My kiss.

It was the best start to the best year.
