The last thing I needed was to miss the bus this afternoon after having an awful first day at school. And on top of that my phone had to die, right at the moment where I needed it the most. Just typical. I flicked my dark hair from my face and shoved the stupid thing in my pocket. Stuffing my homework into my shoulder bag, I slammed the locker shut with my elbow and moved towards the sliding doors of the school entrance. As I was walking down the stairs I heard my name being called. I looked behind me and saw the hottest looking guy I've ever seen walking hastily after me, holding a book that was covered in Sharpie drawings, Oops. "Oh-uh, hey" I said brilliantly. "Hey, I think you left this in Biology" He said with a gleaming smile. He handed me the book which I graciously took, hell the last thing I needed was a detention after today. "Thanks."
"No problem. Hey, your that new girl right?"
"Yeah" I said reluctantly, I hated being highlighted as the new girl.
"What's your name?" He asked, extraordinarily green eyes staring down at me.
"Sia Martinez."
"Well Miss Martinez, it was a pleasure to meet you." He took my free hand in his grasp and kissed my palm and utterly melting me. "See you around". He winked those green eyes at me then left.
After I caught my breath I tugged my coat up higher around my shoulders and started the long walk home.
I looked up at the sky and its brilliant colours bleeding throughout the horizon, painting it with golds, reds and pinks. I breathed in a lungful of crisp evening air when I heard a rustling coming from a nearby alley way. I walked as quietly as I could wearing converse shoes to look around the corner. The alley way was dark, damp and covered in shadows, the ground littered with rubbish, stirring with the slightest breeze. In abbreviated terms it was utterly rank. I scrunched my nose up against the mouldy smell and noticed how dark it had become, clouds now covered the sky in a blanket of grey. "Great. Just what I need right now, more rain." I tucked my hood up over my head, I can just imagine the state my hair is going to be in tomorrow, I will look like I have a freaking afro tomorrow. Too caught up in my thoughts about how to solve my hair issue, I didn't realise the shadowy figure leaning against the wall until he moved. He was tall and lean, I couldn't see his face but he reminded me of a mountain. I instantly was on my guard. I calculated my options: I was by myself in a dark alley way with the only way out being behind the man who was hastily walking toward me, or behind me. However by the length of the mans legs, he looked like he could easily out run me. I hid beside a large dumpster, hoping he hadn't seen me yet. It was then that I heard the plea coming from in front of the man "Please! Please I will do anything you want, give you anything you want!"
The man then crouched down and whispered something to the figure lying on the ground. The next thing happened so quickly that I didn't have time to think about my reaction. He took out a shiny object from his jacket and sliced the persons throat.I let out a high pitched scream.
