The Lost Demon

She fell from the sky, wings flared out to their full extent, it seemed as if she was falling forever until she heard a loud and deep thud as she hit the grass-covered floor. Kai slowly stood reviling where she was, she saw emptiness, nothing but trees and grass. She also noticed a large abandoned tree house which was broken and falling apart "I guess this is my new home" that thought echoed through Kai's mind for a moment, she had no experience living on earth as a human. Kai entered the treehouse the wood creaked and squeaked with every step she took, "I could fix this" Kai said aloud to herself as she suddenly fell on her back hearing a slight crash on the wooden floor. Kai looked down at her feet seeing a camera upside down near the empty bed "could be something to have fun with" Kai thought.

A few hours go by and Kai decides to go to sleep and fix the house in the morning, Kai removes her shirt and places it on the broken coat rack, as she jumped into the bed she heard loud squeaks of old metal springs "this place could definitely use new furniture" Kai whispered to herself as she adjusted her large brown wings onto the bed and moving her long brown hair out of her face, a few minutes of silence go by and Kai falls asleep. Kai awoke to the sound of tapping on her window, she looked up seeing a young baby bird pecking lightly on the glass, she slid the window slightly seeing the bird swiftly fly in and land on her counter, sitting peacefully "now that's cute" Kai whispered as she rose from her bed, throwing her hoodie over her shoulders Kai left the house.

Kai walked through the empty park seeing nothing but the green of all shades, the trees probably as old as time, the gentle but cold breeze brushing through her hair ever so softly. She noticed the orange sun curiously peeking over the horizon, as the warm rays rained down on the park Kai's bright ocean blue eyes shined in its illuminating light. Suddenly Kai heard a voice come from behind her, panic rushed through her body and mind, her thoughts raced and echoed through her head louder than anything she's heard before, without thinking she spread her wings and took off to the clouds to hide to get away, she didn't even know what she was hiding from. "was that a...human?" Kai asked herself as she slowly flew back to herself self "maybe I'll just order furniture online" Kai said to herself as she landed outside her new tree home.

a few days go by and all the furniture Kai order arrived, her new home was all fixed up and actually was fit to live in, her bed memory foam mattress, her tv sitting in the opposite corner of the room, the fridge perfectly fitted into the corner of the room opposite to the Tv. "now this is home" Kai sighed as she dropped herself onto her new bed, Kai felt the urge to go outside with her camera and try out her new hobby, see what she could capture. Kai left her house landed on the soft green grass below as she walked around the tree, "I want to take bigger pictures"  she squealed in excitement "there's a mountain top not far from here, with the most beautiful waterfall" Kai said aloud before spreading her wings and once again taking off to the clouds to avoid any human contact.

Kai loved flying, the adrenaline rush was like nothing she ever felt, the cold but comforting wind against her face and brushing through her hair was a comfortable feeling, she suddenly heard the sound of water splashing from a distance, diving down as fast as she could out of happiness and excitement heading for the sharp mountain top...Kai suddenly heard a large SNAP from behind her, but could only see the upside-down waterfall, she was falling...Kai tried to fly but noticed her wing was broken it was no use, her panic raced through her once again.

seconds later Kai felt as if she was floating, she slowly opened her eyes realizing she was at the bottom of the waterfall, turning her head to the left she noticed arms wrapped around her tightly, Kai froze...seeing a young girl her eyes glistened in the setting sun, her short pink-colored hair bounced cutely in the soft breeze, her skin fair but seemed to glow slightly in the suns rays. Kai rolled out of the girl's arms as she noticed she was blushing extremely hard, Kai attempted to cover her face but just couldn't take her eyes of the young girl her natural beauty was captivating "t...thank you..f...for catching me" Kai stammered as she straightened out her broken wing, snapping it back into place with a loud cracking noise.
