Chapter 5

*Vanessa's Point of View*

"Rad videt' tebya tozhe dikiy tsvetok (Glad to see you too wild flower)" the lady said. What the hell was going on. And was that russian she was speaking

"kto ty, chert voz'mi (who the hell are you)" Sadie said to her

"I'm the one who's here to save you darling" she said in her thick Russian accent. She gave her a sly grin before walking towards Sadie.

"I just found out that my wonderful granddaughter had decided that she didn't want to take part in the family business. Do you know that makes me feel" she pouted

"I will never join you guys. I don't care what else you have to do to me. Don't you understand that what you're doing is wrong. When you guys kidnapped me and sold me as a part of the business that didn't make me want to be a part of your sick business" sadie said to her. She was radiating with anger and hatred for her family.

Before anyone could react Sadie pointed her gun at the woman and removed the safety. I guess she already knew how to use a gun. The two men that held me and Amelia down let go of us the second Sadie pointed her gun at the lady. They immediately grabbed their weapons and pointed them at Sadie.

Landon and Kayden were unconscious on the floor while James was in a corner. I couldn't tell what he was doing but when he signalled me not to look at him I could tell he was calling for backup.

It was like it was an instinct or something but at that exact moment Amelia and I pointed our guns simultaneously at the two guys.

"Put your weapons down and we won't shoot," I said. I tried to make my voice seem as strong and clear as possible but I was shaking.

The men put down their weapons and kicked them to the side.

"If you do as we say we will let you leave here alive. As long as you promise never to get involved with us again" Sadie said. I couldn't even sense a hint of any emotion on her face. It was as if she was completely devoid of them. The woman in red smirked and put her hands up in surrender.

"Just know your spot is always open. We'll walk away this time but I can't guarantee you that we'll stay away for long my wild flower".

The two men left the room and the woman began following behind them. But before she exited the room she quickly pulled out a small knife from her coat and stabbed me in the shoulder. It all happened so fast it took me a while to process that it even happened at all.

"Take this as a fair warning. You want something you have to lose something in return" and with those last words she strutted out of the room.

All I saw was blood everywhere. I felt numb. My vision was starting to blur and the voices around me started to sound muffled. They all sounded so far away. I knew I couldn't fall asleep. We needed to get out of here. I don't know if I was imagining things but all of a sudden Landon and Kayden weren't unconscious anymore. I tried to fight it but before I knew it I was falling asleep.

*Landon's Point of View*

The plan was to pretend to be unconscious while James called for backup. We knew we weren't their intended targets and if they couldn't find the girls then we could get out of here without any of them getting hurt. Kayden and I got beat up pretty badly there had to be about 20 men against the three of us. We were able to fight most of them off though.

While we pretended to be unconscious we let the two men drag us upstairs while they looked for the girls. They wouldn't have been found if they didn't decide to come out of that closet. As soon as they did that I knew this was going to end badly. I subtly signalled for James to call for back up. I was going to tell Kayden to step in but then weapons began being drawn by the men and then by the girls. It was clear they had the upper hand but they could still be in trouble
