"Jake, sweetie? You have to get up. Your going to be late for school." My mother trilled.
*Humph.* I sighed.
"Common, five minutes. Breakfast is on the table." She nagged.
I groaned and slowly sat up. I groggily swung my legs down off my bed and walked out to the kitchen where my sister Emiline was sitting, eating toast.
"Good morning." She smiled happily.
I waved and nodded and sat down beside her. I grabbed a glass and poured myself some orange juice.
I took a big long sip. It tickled the back of my throat as I swallowed. My father then walked in with the newspaper.
"So, what's for breakfast today?"
"I'm having orange juice, toast, bacon, and eggs." Emiline chirped.
"And you Jake?" My dad eyed me carefully.
I raised my half full glass of orange juice.
"And..." He looked at me patiently.
I shook my head, telling him to stop bugging me. I stood up from the table and walked to the bathroom to get ready. It was 7:30 a.m and it was already one of those days.------------------------------------
"Hey Jake! I called you last night dude. We went paint balling."Chris said. "It was great. Oliver and I teamed up against Ryan and we shot him so many times he's gonna be blue for months." He laughed.
I nodded.
"Jake?"
I turned to face him and raised my eyebrows.
"Are you ever going to get over Jess? She died last year! I mean dude, move on!"
He shook his head as he walked away. I rolled my eyes. Chris was my friend, but he could be a real jerk. He didn't care about people's feelings, but he always told the truth. Maybe he was right, maybe I should get over it. But I can't. I miss her, and there is a stabbing ache in my heart that I can't get passed. I loved her, and I still do.------------------------------------
I went through the same schedule I did every Thursday. L.A, math, history, break, French, science, social studies, break, health, gym. I didn't really like school anymore, and it didn't like me. I was flunking seven of my classes and close to falling two of them. Jess, was my tutor, so since she died my grades dropped and I can't bring them up. And, Frankly I don't care. I don't care about anything.

Gym: Last period - 2:37"Okay, great job today! And I guess, I will see you all next Monday." Mr. Kent smiled widely.
"Jake, please wait a minute."
Great, another lecture. I took a deep breath and slumped over to were he was standing. And sure enough, I got a lecture.
