Change

I finally learned an important thing

Things never remain the same

Most things change and we can't do anything

And that, I feel, is insane

Close your eyes and imagine a desert

You would see a waste land right

Nothing but some cacti

And probably no water in sight

You wouldn't think it was once an ocean

A beautiful thing full of life

But it changed so quickly

Now it looks like everything died

Now think of the seasons

Each one unique in their own way

But Winter, Fall, Spring, and Summer

Have things that are the same

The trees always change

Kind of like what people do

Some things come and go

And there's nothing to do

So I learned to let things be

And carry out their own thing

Because at the end of the day

We can't change anything
